Default QOTD - Events vs. Moments - 10.07.15

Which is your favorite to scrap: events or moments?

Since I love to journal, I almost always prefer moment layouts over event layouts. That way, I can blather on without 'wasting' space on telling what actually happened in the photo(s) I'm scrapping.

I especially loathe scrapping Christmas Day and birthday photos. I really should make a generic two-page spread for both and then stick new photos in each year. Think anyone would notice?!

Probably moment photos, because after all, life is filled with little moments. Birthdays and Christmas can kind of seem the same year after year, but the little moments are ongoing and new at each age.

Little moments. I seem to have more to say about them rather than an event. Plus there are many more little moments in my life rather than events so there is so much more opportunity to scrap those.

Moments... because they can be so easily forgotten... thank goodness for photos that help remind us!

Moments usually, but every once in a while I will feel the need to document an event and rather choose a moment of said event than the whole thing.

Both, though I probably do more of the little moments.

Haha, exactly what LeeAndra said. However, I adore Christmas kits and keep buying them

Moments - I also loathe Christmas and Birthday layouts and have almost 15 years' worth unscrapped to prove it!

Moments for sure, events get overwhelming.

And say with like a birthday, well, I scrap 3 of those a year, 2 are boy birthdays, and I always use birthday themed kits, but there really are a ton out there like with Christmas, so when I reuse a kit a lot, I start to feel very limited, which makes it harder to scrap.

Moments, a new fresh, never before used kit, that's my favorite! LOL!

Definitely moments....I'm also one that doesn't care much for birthday/Christmas layouts.

Moments for sure. Although I will scrap birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, and back to school. The moments get forgotten.

I do both.... probably pretty evenly. Holidays and Birthdays are my nemesis' also, just soooooo many photos, it's hard to pick and choose....I have been trying hard to not take as many photos (going for quality over quantity)but still find it difficult.

I love PL, so I guess moments? But I get a lot of joy out of vacation scrapping and that seems like events...

Christmas? It gets one spread in my PL album. lol.

I have always been an event scrapper. In 2014 I started Project Life (in paper no less) to capture the 'moments'. 22 months in, I find it's the perfect balance...

Moments for sure. I really struggle with events. I don't know what it is but I have the hardest time getting usable event photos. The holiday season just about kills me every year.

I have a hard time with events and scrapping family photos (as an event. I'll use them throughout to scrap moments/thoughts). It seems like too much pressure for me and so...final, I guess? This is why I don't have a year fully completed lol

I'm definitely on the list for both. I love moments because I can capture something that may get forgotten, but I also like events because I usually try to add lots of photos to capture the mood!

I scrap both, but I love scrapping moments and scrap events because I feel like I should. My absolute favorite pages are when I have an everyday moment photo with a great story behind it. Birthdays and vacations are my nemesis...sooo many photos to sort and scrap.

I love both.

Event scrapping adds to my joy from the actual event when I remember how much fun we had.

Moments feel like they're just for me and are an opportunity to express what's in my heart.

I do both, but I prefer scrapping for moments. It's especially hard here in China to scrap events, because, they don't do the usual holiday like Christmas, Easter etc. On top of that, hubby's family doesn't really celebrate anything, not even birthdays :/

I do both. I want a record for my kids to have which includes both the little moments and the big events. My mum took lots of photos but just put them all in a huge box (lots of the photos we have no idea which one of the three of us is even in the photo as we all look so much alike). I want my kids to have a better record of what we did and my feelings of them growing up. If that makes any sense? lol

Moments. I like event photos but I tend to not scrap them as much. I should probably just plop them in to photo books as is and call them done.
