Default Who Do I Contact?

Totally NSBR, but I need to email a hotel chain regarding our recent stay there and I have no idea which department to direct my email.

My choices are: President/CEO, Chief Executive, Operations, Human Resources, Sales...

Whatever happened to just "customer service"?

Which one do I pick (other than the obvious "president" lol)??

hmm I would send it to the president and it usually will make its way to the proper channel. In my experience when I have emailed companies my email gets forwarded to whoever is the right person to deal with it in the company

Out of curiosity did you try to speak to the hotel owner? (assuming of course it is a problem you need addressed and not a compliment)

Hmmm . . . I'd probably send it to the president or chief executive. Not sure if it's a complaint or a compliment, but I'm assuming the former. As someone who's been the assistant to presidents of several different places, I know that although they don't want to be bogged down with every tiny problem, the guys at the top WANT to know when there's a major issue to be resolved. If they don't know it exists, they surely can't fix it.

I'd probably just call and ask for the email address, unless it's a small establishment, then I'd email operations and copy the president.

I think it depends on what you are going to be addressing. To me operations would deal with the daily running of the hotel.

I used to work in the hotel industry for many years and it depends on to whom you would like the message delivered. If you are sending a message about your overall stay or experience than send it to the V.P. If you are praising or complaining about an individual or specific department, for example, than send it to the Manager or Director of that Department.

Let me know if you have any questions (unless you already sent it)! LOL
