Trick-or-treat woes
Ugh. My dd has been hearing for about the last 6 months how awesome t-o-t is in our new neighborhood and has been planning to walk with her new bestie for weeks. Found out the girl has to go somewhere else just a couple days ago. All her other friends have other plans. I could take her to walk with her cousins, but she really wants to stay in our neighborhood. Only one of my boys is going to walk (the other one wants to pass out candy) and I don't want her to walk with him because he is a jerk to her. So now she has to walk with just mom. She loves me, but it's definitely not the same and she started crying.
and of course it's cold and drizzly. |

on nights like that for halloween I just took the kids to the store and let them pick a bag of mixed candy since it is usually half off and go home pop some popcorn and put in a fun movie. My son is 15 so honestly I did not even realize today was Halloween

That's so disappointing! It's hard when something they've been looking forward to for so long doesn't work out.

Ok, she and I ended up having a nice time. We've actually spent all day together and it was a fun way to end it. Can't complain, can't complain.
