Can't find a Wii - UPDATE: GOT ONE!!!!
Everywhere is sold out! I had no clue they would be so hard to find. Circuit City has them online but I don't want to order it because we wanted it by the weekend and shipping was $50 more to have it expedited. UGH!
I'm updating my post to say I GOT ONE!!!!! YEA!!!! I am completely sure I got the last one in probably a 50 mile radius because I called every single store that would (and even some that wouldn't) carry them. I found one this morning it was the last one and the sweet lady I talked to at K-Mart hid it for me until I got there. She said I sure was lucky and that the release of Wii Fit is why they can't keep them in stock any more. Doin' the happy Wii dance

Yeah they can still be hard to find. Seems like most stores only get so many in at a time. We were lucky and got ours in the day after Thanksgiving sales last year (made hubby go early and stand in line lol) for the kiddos Christmas.
And we finally just got a Wii Fit! Another hard thing to find...

I know! It took me forever to find one. I finally got it at Best Buy last week. They seem to get shipments several times a week...but you have to be on top of it because they sell out right away. They got a shipment on Saturday and I snagged it on Monday and the guy was like, you are so lucky that I had one left!
I am still trying to get my hands on a Wii Fit. It's insane. Susan

When we got ours in April, we checked 3 chain stores and only one of them had any in stock. The 2 that didn't have any in stock, we had them check the other stores in the area, and they were ALL sold out, lol. It's crazy!
When we picked up Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for our Wii on Monday, though...they had a huuuge stack of the GH bundles, then I heard someone asking if they had any Wii consoles, but the guy said no, they were getting "some" on Friday. I think it's ridiculous that Nintendo doesn't just up the production on them - they're obviously popular!

Target has some but said they have to hold them for the ad that is going in Sunday's paper - they won't sell them until Sunday. I think I'll try that - cross your fingers for me.

With both the Wii and Wii Fit we were just at the right store at the right time. We got the Wii from Circuit City around Thanksgiving. They got 3 in the morning I was there and I just happened to ask. Today I walked into Game Stop and they got 2 in this morning so they just happened to have it. Just keep trying- good luck!!

That's strange....in Canada we have a Best Buy (I think there is one in the States too).....they were sold out, then I went to Toys R Us and they had a ton in stock so I found one no problem.....plus they were cheaper there too!

There was a huge stack at the new Costco in our area when I was looking for one for a present beginning of June. Then my brother and his wife decided they wanted one too and couldn't find one anywhere. I ended up getting them one at that same Costco, but none of the other Costcos anywhere around here had them.
I think the Wii Fit has created a pretty huge new wave of demand for the Wii so it's gotten tougher to find them again. As for the Fit, most stores seem to be getting shipments in fairly regularly, but they go fast so you need to get in there as soon as they hit the shelves. They are getting easier to find than when they first came out though.

I feel your pain. I had been looking for one here for months and couldn't find one anywhere. I finally found one a few weeks ago. I just happened to stop at the video game store in the mall at just the right time, so it was just dumb luck that I got one.

I found mine out of the blue in February. I was in Target & walked downthe aisle out of habit and there were 3 of them in the case. I saw some at Best Buy yesterday and that is the first time I've seen any in a couple months.

Our wii practically fell into my lap, I was pretty lucky and hadn't been looking for one.
The wii fit however, was tricky. We called a bunch of places all the time and finally set up a thing at wiialerts.com and got one either that day or the next. I know you said you wanted one this weekend, but if you can't find one, I highly recommend wiialerts!!

Hubby spotted one two weeks ago at the local wal-mart. It was hard for him to walk away, but unless he planned on buying it with his good looks or something, it just was not coming home with us. Last week it wasn't there.
I hear the trick is to find out which day the stores get new shipments and show up each time as soon as they open. Good luck finding one!

Glad you found one.
we just sold ours, tee hee. i never play it. i really didnt want to, cause i now am sure that they'll have a game come out that i want, lol. i usually play our playstation 3 more. oh well. DH just kept pointing out that i never play it anyway.

We could not find one that wasn't a bundle even before the Fit came out, though to be honest I never went to local stores as I kept hearing you had to be there first thing in the morning and I wasn't sure my boss would understand my reasoning for being late over and over till I got one. LOL My friend finally got one for us, but we still can't find a dang Fit!!
Christine - its not like any other gaming system - has your husband had a chance to play one?
