Default Tropical Storm Fay

Hmmmm, will it be a hurricane or stay a tropical storm? Either way its headed right exactly toward us (I'm in Naples, just south of Fort Myers). The real kicker is that Tuesday was supposed to be the first day of school here (looks like it won't be now, though). Nobody here seems to be too worried about this one - we've lived here 12 years and had a few major hurricanes, but this is a little one and may just stay a Tropical Storm, but with 50 MPH winds we'll still need to button down the hatches a bit.

Stay safe hon. It's still nasty weather, no matter how you're used to it.

Im hoping it stays a tropical storm. They are forecasting that we will have the worst part skirting where I live. The part that spawns tornadoes. I heard on the radio that Pinellas county (is that where you live?) was talking about shutting down the schools for Tuesday but have now changed and will be going to start as usual. I dont think this is going to be a big threat but I guess you never really know what to expect. Charlie was minor and then all of a sudden it seemed to strentgthen overnight

I have to admit, Fay is amusing me. We lived in the panhandle for 6 years and we left just this past March. So of course, during the two weeks that DH goes back to FL, a tropical storm comes. Amusing...(I'm probably a mean wife, but still)...

Yeah hoping for Tropical Storm status here too. In Polk County the kids go back tomorrow so their first week may get cut short. Stay safe Florida girls!
