Default Scrapbooker's elbow?

So, I was complaining that my elbow was really rough and dry -- I think because of the weather changes. My husband insists that I have "scrapbooker's elbow" from leaning on my elbow while I scrap... LOL! I'm not sure about that one -- but I do know that I have a callus on my right wrist, where the pad of my hand rests while I move my mouse...

Please tell me that I'm not the only one with scrapbooking related ailments!

no I do notice when working on layouts for quite awhile that my shoulder, neck and right arm start hurting and I have to take a break.

Oh but I dont use a mouse. I cant anymore. Ive been using a trackball for so long it feels weird to have to use a mouse LOL. They are much better on my hand too. They are bigger and kinds kit the hand better so it leads to less stress on the hand if you spend alot of time on the computer

Well I don't lean on my elbow as I have my laptop on the back of the sofa, so my elbow just hangs over, lol, but I do get a sore wrist all the time though!

Oh and the back of the sofa has a laptop shaped dent so it fits on perfectly, LOL!!!

My left elbow used to be dry and cracked, to the point that it would bleed. Once I stopped leaning on it when I scrapped it went away. IMO, "scrapper's elbow" is real.

I have 'browser's elbow' the same thing from leaning on it whilst browsing the net. Took me a while to figure I have to say!

Yes, scrapbooker's elbow exists. It's also known as "red elbow"

I think most of us have suffered from this affliction at least once, though for some of us, it's chronic LOL

LOL... I have had SO many scrapelated issues! I've had pulled neck muscles, sore arms, elbows and wrist... plus because of how I sit in my chair, I hurt my knees too!

LOL I have scrapper's elbow too! It took me a while to figure out what caused it because I thought it was so weird that it was only my left elbow. Glad I'm not the only one . . .

I have hurt my ankle too, because I sit with my foot sorta sideways so it's bent out to the side. You think I'd learn not to do it LOL

Scrapper's elbow, neck pain, eye strain, butt spread, you name it. I blame scrapbooking for everything.

I do get aches from knitting, but not so much from scrapping.

I don't lean on my elbow, bu I do have a tendency to rest my right palm on my laptop when I am working and I did sooo many LO's over the weekend {trying to catch up on my P365} that my hand feels like it is bruised~~~

Haha! Good to know that I'm not alone! In fact, I was just leaning on my left elbow until I read this post. I'm always trying to fix it with a little lotion.

Thankfully, I've solved my back, shoulder and wrist issues with my current desk and chair. I used to be in a lot of pain with my old set up--yet who can stay away?!

We totally need a picture of this set-up....do you just have a chair behind your sofa that you sit on?

This is too funny--all these scrapbooking aliments! I do spend too much time at a computer, but my job puts me in front of one all day long. The only problem I get is sore wrists, but I made myself learn to operate a mouse with either hand and now I just switch back and forth rather than using one hand all the time. (I don't switch the mouse buttons either, I just use a right handed mouse with my left hand--it works).

I sit on my couch with my 17" laptop that is extremely heavy... my legs, knees, hips, feet hurt from holding up the weight of it... and my right elbow becomes locked from my arm being stuck in the same way...
and my wrist and hand always hurt.. I would take a break from scrapping for a while, but I also work on my designs so I can't. It hurts but I work through the pain hahaha

This one is so me, I sit in the same spot. Which you can tell cause it fits my butt perfect. I try and remember to switch sides of the couch every other month. But my legs are so short I can't reach the floor without slouching. So I'm hunching, but leaning back. It gives me neck aches and lower back aches. I figure no pain no gain
