Default Which photobook company would you recommend?

I have a friend who wants some photobooks done of her family vacation and honeymoon. She asked me to scrap some albums for her, but I just don't have the time to do it. She doesn't have time herself either, to traditionally scrap each page. I wonder if there is a photobook site that is the easiest to use, but also has graphic style templates for multi photo pages, where she can pop the photos in and it's all done. I've only ever scrapped my own layouts, so I can't recommend anything to her.

Have you used any particular place, or heard good feedback about one?

I'd suggest Shutterfly for its 'drag and drop' style layouts (that work like quickpages). I wouldn't recommend Artscow though, I've had a couple of projects printed through them and the quality of both the printing and binding was terrible.

Yes to Shutterfly.
I don't like artscow for printing photobooks. The quality is terrible! It's okay for printing photos though.

I agree with what has been said about Shutterfly, however I think some of their designs are cheesy.

Also would like to add Mixbooks - I print my vacation albums through them... I really like them and they have a 399 page maximum. I also found them easy to use.

I just tried Photobook America this year. They had a deal for 80 page hard cover books for $18.99. Including shipping and the extra 20+ pages I printed, the books were around $35. It was th best deal I could find. They are good quality and I received my books in under a week. I believe they have sites for many countries. I used Mixbook last year and they made several errors on my books (pages were falling out, sent soft vs the hard cover I ordered). They fixed everything, but not before Christmas when I needed it. I noticed their prices where higher this year too.

Every year I make a basic, simple design photo book of all the farm pictures I've taken for the year and give it to my in-laws. I know I could make a beautiful book in photoshop, but I just drag and drop in Shutterfly. lol. I like the modern clean designs.

I must admit- it took me WAY too long this year but I think their website was over ran by people trying to finish projects before their sell was over.

I forgot that Shutterfly now has a Make My Book service. I don't know anything about it really but it might be helpful to your friend if she doesn't have a lot of time.

I've used MyPublisher the last 2 years for our family yearbook. The quality was great, but I had to wait for a sale (free extra pages) to be able to afford it. You have to download their software, it works ok (it's not photoshop!)

Wow, that make my book thing looks really cool! I may have to try it sometime. I like that they will "curate" your pictures for you. lol! I take soooo many pictures that it's hard to choose which to use.
