Apple Camp
At Apple Camp, kids ages 8-12 learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This free workshop, held at Apple Retail Stores, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Film Festival. Oh my goodness! My Ian would absolutely LOVE this! He is constantly making "movies" on our iPod Touch. He's still too young for this workshop, but I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for this in a few years.

aww... kiddo still a bit young for this, however I hope by the time he is old enough, they will have an apple store closer than then the 2 hour drive now... That would also make the big kid (DH) in the house happy, too.... haha

Yup, they all live up there -- parents, grandmother, aunt, sister, BIL, nephew. When I looked at the Apple site, it only lists the Indy location & the Mish location, so it's gotta be that one.

ETA: It would have been fun for him, but we're not doing it after all. I didn't see it mentioned on the site, but the email confirmation they sent says that parents must remain in the store the entire time. I'm sure they'd just love to have my 2 younger kids running around and playing on the ipads for hours on end...
