I just finished the Sookie Stackhouse series, and I absolutely loved it.

Right now, I started the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich because I wanted something light. It is just sooo funny!

I, for one, abolutely loved The Poisonwood Bible and the Time Traveler's Wife.

And Pillars of the Earth is my favorite read.

I'm reading the Sookie series. I think I'm on book 6. And I'm on Eclipse in the Twilight series again. I bought Julie and Julia to read - that's probably next. Also picked up Michael Crichton's last book, Pirate Latitudes. I have so many books that I have to read.

LOL I didn't even realize it was a movie until I pulled out the book to figure out the name of the author and my DH goes...oh that's a movie. So I had to look it up to see if it was based on the book. I really find the premise interesting and love the way it's written. Not too far into it yet but really thinking I'm gonna enjoy it.

I love getting ideas from these threads!

I'm reading These is my Words right now for my book club. I've read it before and forgot how much I liked it the first time.

I have read a lot lately. My DH bought me a kindle a few months ago and I have been a reading machine! I read Dear John and I liked it. I do like most of Nicholas Sparks books though. He has several good ones. A few that I have read lately that I really liked.....

Of course, the Sookie Stackhouse series. Patiently waiting for the next book!
Dance Upon Air by Nora Roberts (it is like meshing Sleeping with the enemy with a witch story. Sounds odd but I loved it)
Hide in Plain Sight by Marta Perry
I LOVE KRISTIN HANNAH BOOKS! I started with Firefly Lane and totally loved it. I have read many of her books since reading that. SO GOOD!
Currently reading Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom......not too far in so I am not ready to give a recommendation.
If you like Christian fiction, I would highly recommend The Shack by Paul Young and Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.
Oh and if you haven't read Twilight.......YOU GOT TO!
Okay, I am done! LOL

I adore the Stephanie Plum number series. I haven't gotten any of the non-number ones yet. I wait and then buy it in paperback. I have all of them so far

Darkly Dreaming Dexter. I was on a roll with it, but then I got the new Professor Layton DS game for Christmas and now I play that at night before bed instead. LOL

I thoroughly enjoyed both of these. Poisonwood Bible is NOT fun to read, but it's incredibly thought-provoking and challenges many assumptions. EXCELLENT book club book. Just loved the Book Thief.

Dexter by Design. I cannot stomach the tv series at all, but the books are amazing. I don't want to finish this one yet since it's the most recent, but I've got no choice since it's a library book.

Still trying to finish up #3 in Percy Jackson series as a preead for Connor..I'm giving up, though, and letting him just read it. I hate Greek mythology :P
Uggh! I really didn't like Prodigal Summer. There was just so much sex! I was really disappointed because I loved the Poisonwood Bible. It's made me hesitant to try her other books, although I do want to read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.

AV&M changed my life, honestly...I may not be able to become homesteaders like she is now, but we're working towards starting!

I guessed you would have read this one, Darcy! I've heard a lot of really great things about it.

I'm reading Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card. It's a sequel to Ender's Game, which I HIGHLY recommend. Amazing books.

Before that, I finished the 12th book in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Pretty much one of the best fantasy series ever.

I'm reading a nonfiction--Born to Run by Christopher MacDougall, which I'm really enjoying. After this I have Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, and probably start on Vampire Diaries series or City of Bones.

Thanks for the additional votes for City of Bones, Leila and nonnie!

I know I'm way behind the times, but I just picked up Twilight while at the library last week. Thought I would see what all the hype was about...
