Default So...I Hit Michael's

I hit Michael's last night, trying to find some of those Glue Lines (apparently they don't carry them). But I walked out with $50 worth of stuff, haha. How'd that happen?

I got:
- the Fiskars fingertip exacto knife thingie - I have an exacto, but wanted to see if this gives me more control
- a rubber brayer - been looking for one for a while and finally spotted it...will be handy for making pages stick with mod podge without bubbles
- some little stamps (they were $1.50) for the months of the year - this is for a specific project, lol
- a Zig 2-way glue chisel tip pen - just needed a refill

I haven't told DH how much I spent yet...lol. He might flip.

Oh, and a package of 60 jump rings for hanging things off ribbon, etc.

Now, to get some work done today...

I've been curious how the finger tip exacto knife thingie works....

We finally have a Michaels near me and boy, it is dangerous for me to even ENTER that store!!! I never tell hubby how much I spend there LOL.... I plan to go there today though, I need a scallop punch for something I'm working on for Sara Amarie's blog.

I did a Michaels run today, too, but walked away with a lot less stuff (since I spent so much here earlier today). They had some cool stickers and I got some card bases. I had the 50% off one item coupon burning a hole expiring today. They gave me a coupon for 20% off my total order for next week when I checked out.
I love my brayer - I've had it for years - there's so many cool things you can do with it besides the obvious....

Yeah, the brayer was one of those things that I wanted as a stamper, but never got around to grabbing. LOL!

i have one of those Fiskars finger exacto knife thingies, lol. It's okay. comfy but i didn't notice really having any more control than i usally do. But me and sharp objects don't usually work well together, lol.

i have the fingertip knife and I'm glad I wear glasses. I probably would have poked my eye out about now. i sorta forget i have it on my finger, duh. but I do like how it works.

dang, I used to have a brayer from my polymer clay days. I gave it away. see, this is why i shouldn't de-clutter.

Default love me some jump rings

oh how i LOVE jump rings (i actually used them on my off the page altered letter challenge from krystal hartley here)..they are SOO super cute on your projects..although i have a terrible time with them poking through my pages sometimes..lol...probably should put a little glue dot on the end kinda like a wax..hmm... I totally love michael's too...i usually polish off a $100 bill in that place by the time i get to the second aisle..NOT GOOD...tack on various magazines THAT I DON'T NEED...and then oh yes, the $1 stamps...oh goodness..let's just say it is NEVER pretty! We always leave to the chorus of my kids saying "mommy, i thought you only were going to pick up some ribbon" always go with good intentions..

That sounds like something I'd do. I'm hoping to test it out today, if I can get PS running enough to print some stuff out...

I've pretty much stopped going to craft stores unless I NEED something. For a while I had gotten into the habit of going once a week "cuz i have a coupon that expires". BAD IDEA.

Now I only go when I need something (like glue/adhesive, or a specific item). I still end up wandering around and getting more things I didn't intend to buy, but it's easier to deal with if it's 1 time every 6 weeks or so, as opposed to every single week, lol.
