Default Nook?

Did you see B&N response to the Kindle:

I haven't looked at the price or compaired, but I am slightly interested. I get most of my books from the Library - so I am not sure if I am ready to drop the cash on one of these, but it still is a GREAT idea.

I was looking at that the other day. It looks nicer than the Kindle IMO. It's nice that you can share books with others with it too.

I get most books from the library too so I doubt I'd get one. One of my friends ordered one for her daughter's Christmas gift. I'm waiting to hear what they think of it.

While those things are probably WAY useful for traveling (it's never a good idea to try and bring several hard cover books on vaca - I've done it, LOL!) I'm soooooooooooo resistant! Lol! I like my books too much. Plus, I go read a book when I need to get OFF the computer, lol.

But, kudo's to B&N for injecting some competition to the mix.

My hubby has been drooling over the Nook since it came out... first it was cheaper than the Kindle, but now I think they are comparable... but I think after looking at both, my hubby liked the Nook better than the Kindle.

It's on my Christmas wish list (though not sure Santa can afford it)!

I still can't bring myself to buy books in any form when I can get them from the library for free - in both hardcopy and digital. Maybe if I were traveling all the time, the immediate download would be worth it. Even so, there's a part of me that wants one of those gizmos just to have one!
