Default Question about WW

I know there have been some discussions about Weight Watchers on here before, but I am wondering if some of you gals that have done the whole WW thing could answer a question.

My work has a wellness program and are going to reimburse us for going to WW meetings. So, I thought I might give it a try. I really need to lose some weight - I had a baby in May - the baby weight is gone, but the body just isn't the same. I would like to lose more weight and try to tone up a little. The only problem...I am still nursing - my son is 3 1/2 months old. I would like to know if any of you that have done WW think it would be possible to do WW while nursing. Also, I cannot eat any dairy or soy, so I am on a restricted diet already. Do you all think it would be too difficult to do no dairy/soy and WW?

I really am on the fence about this and don't want to waste my hard earned money if its just not something that can be realistically done. Thanks for giving me your opinions!

They give you like an extra 7 points if you're nursing Since WW is about caloric intake and not specific food eating, non-dairy/soy doesn't really affect their plan...everybody eats what they want and tracks the points!

Yep, I did it while nursing (I got an additional 10 points, wonder if its changed) and lost great. I am also a vegetarian and have no problems on the program, you can eat whatever you want.

Take advantage of the opportunity to try WW! The program works for nursing moms and now is a great time to lose. Don't wait 8 years like I did.

Thanks for the info! I think this just might be the perfect time for me to give it a try! I'm glad to know they give you extra points when you are nursing. I was worried about not being able to eat enough to keep up my milk production!

The wonderful thing about WW is that YOU chose the food you want to eat. You get extra points for being a nursing mom too. I know nursing moms on it, I know vegetarians on it, and I know diabetics on it. The beauty of this particular program is that you chose the food you want.
