My little guy...

Just wanted to ask if you all could say some prayers for my little guy. Eli is 8 months old and last week came down with pink eye. He got antibiotic eye drops and yesterday was his final day of that. Well, late yesterday afternoon, his eye started to look swollen and I really didn't think too much of it, just thought he bumped it with a toy. But this morning when he woke up, his eye was swollen shut. So, I took him to his pediatrician and he has a terrible sinus/ear infection gone bad. It is a cellulitis behind his eyeball. He got a shot of Rocephin (antibiotic) and has to go back tomorrow morning. If it gets worse today, or isn't better tomorrow, he has to get a CT scan of his head and possibly be admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics. If it gets worse, it could damage his eyesight and/or cause his eye to no longer function.

So, if you all could say a little prayer for my guy, I would appreciate it! I am so scared as my older son got meningitis at this age and lost his hearing. I have always said if Isaac had to lose anything, thank goodness it was his hearing and not his eyesight. And now, I am faced with my younger son having a terrible infection that could harm his eye(s). So I am totally scared crazy about this.

Thanks everyone! His eye seems to be less swollen/red so hopefully the meds are working. We won't know for sure until we take him in for his appointment tomorrow morning. I'm trying to stay positive and hope that he is well on his way to getting better. He is still just the happiest little boy ever, so I am taking that as a good sign!
