I like Old Navy and American Eagle's board shorts or boys shorts or whatever the heck they're called. They're longer and come down to like an inch or two above the knee.
I got bit by a dog when I was like 13 and have a really ugly scar on my leg right where shorts normally end so I always get longer ones to cover it.

psh. you are SO not.
i typically wear capris too, but now with the girls being older and wanting to like, actually do stuff outside, mama's gotta give in and go with them and i don't like to sweat...at all.
i may look into the board shorts, trish. i have a scar on my leg too where i had a mole removed and the surgeon did a bang up job on it. *eyeroll* are they low in the waist?

It depends on the style of them. Old Navy has all their different rises on the pants I get the low rise ones, but I know my mom gets my sister the ones that are higher up. (Because unlike me she actually has a butt lol)

I have a knee length pair from jcp and one from kohls that I LOVE! I pretty much live in those! Of course, they're a couple years old, so I don't know if they carry them, but I imagine they would have some kind...

I like bermuda style shorts. Bought a few pairs this year at jcpenney, walmart and believe it or not Tractor Supply LOL (they sell Wrangler products there). None of them are lowise. They come just about an inch above my hips I guess. They are good though

I LOVE my Kohls bermudas! I wear the Sonoma brand. They always have plaid & solids. I need to get some more for the summer. Mine from last year are way to big!

I pretty much hate shorts, with a passion... I'm not quite sure why, I think it's being a short person, I've never found an appropriate style... Bermuda shorts look ridiculous on me, as do most "women's" shorts because they are just too long. However, "juniors" short of just, um, a little too hootchie... LOL!

I've stuck primarily with casual dresses and skirts the past two years and been pretty happy! I just found some good deals at Target clearance the other day too!

I'll have my hubby talk to yours... he considers them "easy access" LOL Plus, I think they're just way more flattering on women.

I'm a skirts or capris kinda girl... wear skirts all the timed during the summer, but rarely wear capris unless I'm preggo.

I always have a hard time with the back of pants/shorts. I am a pear shape so I have a bootie. Where the pants sit on the back right above my rear is always to big. I don't know why designers can't make jeans that "hug" the backside of the waist/back. super frusterating.

I am sooooo white, I am purple! Hahaha ... but teaching PE, I have to wear sport shorts and just deal with it and pray I tan quick under my 1000 SPF.

We have decided at work that women of a certain age should not wear shorts. I have two pair, but they both hit at the knee or lower, so they're almost capris.

/agree! I'm too short legged to wear the longer shorts. I look silly in them. For bumming around the house I love and live in those cheapo Soffe shorts from Academy. They come in every color imaginable and are like $6. For going out I have ONE pair of Lucky khaki shorts that I love and got for cheap at Ross. Other than that I wear capris. I wish I could wear the trendy board shorts but it's just not ever gonna happen.

Just wanted to let you know that Gap is having a sale on shorts right now, PLUS they have a deal for $20 off an $80 purchase online. I desperately need some new shorts/capris, so I believe I'll be hitting this up after I scope out Old Navy this weekend (ends sunday).

I'm old and glow in the dark so I probably shouldn't wear shorts I guess but OMG I can't imagine not LOL Honestly, I think shorts on me are way more flattering than capris. I like the Old Navy Bermudas and they have a 7" inseam short that I like a lot too, not too long, not too short. I love wearing sundresses and skirts too.

This year I'm totally loving this out of the ordinary "baggy-where-it-needs-to-be"-shorts :P

Edit:
I now see that it might NOT be that kind of shorts you are looking for, but hey, the girl looks nice anyway
