Default Anyone interested in a weekly homeschool thread?

We'll be starting this week and it's always nice to keep up with my fellow hs'ers for help, advice and just general chat!

Hi! We homeschool, too. My oldest is 16 and "officially" graduated. He has been homeschooled all of his life and is now going to community college full-time. (He's been taking classes there for two years.)

Then I have a 9th grader, a 7th, a 5th, a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

We hope actually to accomplish stuff this year! Last year was a lost year because we had a new baby and he was sick. But that's the beauty of homeschooling... it's easy enough to catch up.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

It's nice to see a mom with an older student. My oldest is going into 8th and seems like most people I know are schooling little ones.

I'd be interested! PreK-4 with Naomi. We're starting week 3 and she's shocking me with how amazing she's doing! It's been so fulfilling!

Oh goodie We're starting on Tuesday when the rest of our county does, though Johnny's books won't be in till probably Wednesday (I procrastinated in ordering them ) He'll have plenty to read though and Eden can get going on her math.

How long have you ladies been homeschooling?

I started 12 years ago, when my 18 yr old was in 1st grade. Now she is graduated from high school. I homeschooled her til high school and am doing the same with the 13 yr old who is supposed to be in 8th grade this year. My littlest went back to public school for the first time last year in fourth grade because with middle DD's ADHD I have a serious hard time dealing with teaching her. At this point I am struggling to be enthusiastic anymore about homeschooling, I am just trying to make it through this last year.
