Default Who knew 94F could look positively wonderful!

Well, the promise of it only being 94F is positively wonderful! We got a short, unexpected rain shower this morning - totally not in the forecast 5 hrs ago, and the promise of only 2 more days of this wicked heat! It breaks overnight on Wednesday, going from 104 to 94 on Thursday - and then days of low 90's to upper 80's! It's almost over!!!!!!!

Sure, by this time next week we'll be back up to the upper 90's, but that's still not 108!

I'm happy for you. I'm freakin' dying here, it was 112 yesterday! We did have one day last week that only got up to 97 and we couldn't get over how cool it felt. I'm so tired of it. But LOOK there's a 99 and a chance of rain, I'm crossing everything crossable.

Our triple degree temps are supposed to break on Saturday - with the promise of the upper 80's for highs by next Monday. I'll believe it when I see it . . .

Woohoo, reading this thread inspired me to check our forecast, and after hitting 108 yesterday, we are expected 101 through Weds, then 92 on Thurs, and 88 on Friday! I am tickled pink!

If it stays cool for a few days, maybe we can actually make use of our Zoo Friends pass

We got a tiny bit of rain last night (.2 of an inch) and it is now a comfortable 79 degrees at 10:50. I don't know what the high is, but I will take it.

For one day only I'd love 94F, it's 58F here right now and I am FREEZING lol!!

Summer has been a let down here this year as we've only had 1 or 2 really sunny days!

Hoooray for you! After spending my summer in that heat in the USA I am relieved for everyone there.

It was 44 celcius here today - about 112. It has cooled off a bit too to get to that so we are enjoying the nicer mornings and evenings.

Will be glad when it drops down some more all round.

This is us, too! Keely, I know exactly which day you're talking about - we all went OUTSIDE and all commented on how cool it was, LOL. It was last Saturday, I think! ha ha.

but where's the 99% chance of rain?? i only see 20% unless you're adding them up? ha ha.

Also wanted to add...I work for a very large company in the Austin area...

they are raising the temps in the office building to 80 degrees today due to the power demand caused by the extreme heat. They did it all last week, too - had it set to 76 degrees +/- 2 degrees during the day, then at 3pm they raised it up to 78 plus/minus 2 degrees.

I promise you - it's always PLUS 2 degrees

She said there's a 99 AND a chance of rain. Not a 99% chance of rain. That weather man would have to be a psychic to predict that.

It was 110 here yesterday and all I could think when they announced it on the news was that I was sad it didn't get to 111 so we could have broken the record high for the day. LOL

But yeah, I am seriously SO over the heat at this point. I hate being cooped up inside all the time but it's too hot to even sit outside lately. This is our first summer here and I hope the next ones aren't like this. I knew it'd be hot but this has just been ridiculous. I swear, the more places we live, the more I really really miss the weather in CA. It doesn't get much more perfect than that.

Its been in the 90s here lately and I thought that was killer. I couldn't imagine it being the 100s. I am happy to hear it will cool off for you.

We're just northeast of y'all and life is good now that we bumped out of the 100s! Seriously, 94 today felt like an Autumn day! LOL Let's hope that fall comes earlier than normal.

yes that would be awesome! I hate these hot days. 116 it was today and the air in my car doesn't work and it's almost 25 mile home. I would LOVE 94

We still have several more months of summer like weather! It was 102 when I got home today and the boys said it was about 112 while I was gone. At least by November the evenings will be really cool to totally cool the house down for the next day. I'd like to wear some of my fall clothes though!
