Default I need some tunes!

I'm going to be taking a road trip, and I need some new tunes for my ipod.
Do you have any recent favs? I like pretty much everything except rap.
Thanks for hookin' me up!

I like a bit of everything, lately I'm into Justin Timberlake, and basically whatever comes on the radio LOL. I am STILL loving the Smashing Pumpkins Zeitgeist CD, I honestly can't get enough of that.

I was also recently listening to a ton of old 80s stuff, and some 70's disco LOL!

Dave Matthews is my absolute favorite but I am also into (JD Fortune) INXS, Linkin Park, Maroon 5,Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I loooove the 80's stuff too ABBA, Bee Gees, etc....Then there are the oldies but goodies like The Cars, The Clash, Tom Petty, AC/DC, Led Zepplin

WOW, I think I talk too much

Enjoy your road trip

I really like the clips I listened to but it says explicit - how bad is it? My boys will be in the car, too.

Really? I guess I've just listened to it so much I don't really notice (which is kinda sad).

Anyway, here's a link to the lyrics so you can check it out for yourself.

Since your DH doesn't like Smashing Pumpkins, I don't want to recommend Silversun Pickups (they sound a bit like Smashing Pumpkins). If you like Jack White (from White Stripes), he works on a side project, called the Electric Six and they have a new album "I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master" (yes, that's the real title). No swear words - so no to Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, they're good but they cuss a lot in their songs. I've been digging Mutemath's debut album. If you want a slightly psychedelic feel, I would recommend Black Moth Super Rainbow or The Octopus Project. Snow Patrol is awesome. If you like it kind of electronic, anything from the Ultra Chill collections is good as is the band Lemon Jelly.

For road trips I always try for songs we can sing along with so the boredom flies off the window (especially when I start sleeping and he's driving and bored, LMAO)

I suggest goo goo dolls, dave matthews and billy joel. (billy joel will be my 80s contribution that you can sing along with)

My favorite band is Breaking Benjamin (and we get to see them in concert again next week!) and all three of their CD's are great but I think they have the parental advisory on them. My girls listen to the CD's when we're in the car but haven't picked up on any of the bad words I guess!

I'm a country girl so I'm gonna recommend Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Jodee Messina.

Also love me some Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Aerosmith and old Van Halen for 80's music!

I have days where I jam out to Billy Joel on my ipod nonstop. Very fun. I'm loving Viena lately for some reason.
