Default Speaking of trees...

(Just call me KCB today, with all the questions-otfl!)

When is yours going up? I would be doing ours now, but people are coming over today. Maybe tomorrow!

It's easy, since we were given an artificial tree by my great-aunt when we moved here. I really love a real tree... but man, with four kids, I totally appreciate just pulling something out of a box when we have the time! LOL! Real trees can come later, when life is not so busy.

Ours is artificial, too... always put it up on Dec 1st... this year might be a few days later, I would like to get a new one - ours is 10 years old and 1/2 the lights are burnt out, etc...

Sunday, it's usually always the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I don't like that the first is so close to Thanksgiving this year though.

We put ours up last night...it'll come down a few days after Christmas. That's one of the reasons we have a fake tree...I like having it up a good month. That and with three cats and a dog who'd probably be peeing on a real one...fake is easier AND cleaner

We've always had real trees, my parents always did and I always have. The last few years I've cinsidered getting a fake one though. I get so fed up with the mess of a real one. And I like to leave it up for a while. I don't want to get a cheap one though, I want a good one and they're kind of pricy. Haven't decided yet if this'll be the year I get one. The real ones are free since we chop one ourselves.

We put ours up last weekend! We had a 7 year old foster child staying with us who was very excited to put up a tree.

My Mom does this and takes it down on January 13th - St Knute's day. She definitely embraces her Swedish heritage

We have a fake tree - and we had to get a new one this year so it's up already. Though it's not decorated. Usually it's the 1st of December

Mine will go up sometime this week. I didn't want to mess with the tree while the kids were home. Well, the getting out of the attic and putting it together stuff. They help me decorate but it is easier if I get that other stuff done without their help.

We always do it the day after, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" plays in the background, and this year we added a "Boy's Tree" to house all of their homemade ornaments. The house is decorated, cleaned and now we can relax!

Either the weekend of the 7th or the next weekend. I usually try to coincide when we get ornaments every year.

I put mine up. It's pre-lit and half of one of the strands is out. DH claims he'll fix it when he gets home from work tonight but I suspect tomorrow we'll be wrapping a new strand on. We've gotten new cats since last Christmas and they are still young so we are leaving it undecorated at least until Sunday to let them get used to it. Then maybe only with the soft ornaments. We'll see how they do.

We usually put ours up on Dec 1st, but we're too busy this weekend, so will do it one day after school next week.

It's up! We usually do it after Thanksgiving but I had to work this weekend so I just wanted to get it crossed off the list of things to do!

We usually do it the first week of Christmas. It's not a set time. I bought a new fake one in the after Christmas sales last year for a steal so I am excited to see it.

No tree before my birthday (the 4th)! Christmas decorations can go up, but no tree allowed! It was my parent's way of making sure that my birthday didn't get lost between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it's stuck.

We have two trees - one in the living room and one in our bedroom. They'll both go up tomorrow. They'll be up until I feel like taking them down - which is well after New Year's.

We usually do it the day after Thanksgiving but that has not happened at all this year. I think we will put it up Sunday.

Aww! That's the best. We've done that when we lived near my in-laws in PA. Good times!

"officially" on the record I'll say Thanksgiving night.

It was up uh...earlier than that this year. Generally, even though it drives my husband NUTS, I put our tree up at least a week before Thanksgiving - I just LOVE the tree. We don't turn the lights on until after Thanksgiving though. And we take it down generally the week after Christmas.

We get a real one, and put it up the Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving usually. But... I'm not ready for the tree yet! I am just not in the mood to get everything out and decorate it and UGH. Not yet. LOL. And, the past two years our trees haven't stayed alive the whole month until to Christmas. They are completely dead and brittle by Christmas day. So, I think we might wait until next weekend.

I usually put ours up the day after Thanksgiving but we actually had lunch with my in laws today and then dinner here with my parents. I always host Thanksgiving with my side of the family on Saturday and I will be much too tired tomorrow. Maybe Sunday. Probably Monday.

We are all WAY too allergic to have a real one. Hats off to those that do. Lol.

We have an artificial tree which we put up last night with all the lights on it. We are putting all the decorations on tomorrow morning while we have pancakes and milkshakes for breakfast. Normally that's when our elves arrive as well, but they are arriving in the afternoon as we have our nephew here and don't want any surprises given away about them!

We have an artificial one and we usually put it up right after Thanksgiving but with a new puppy and us not being home most of the day but she is - we are nervous to do so until the kids are on vacation. Sad that it will be that late but seriously don't want to come home to a downed tree!

We used to put it up on the day after Thanksgiving, but have gotten away from that in the last few years. We had friends over yesterday, so it didn't happen again this year. I'm thinking that tomorrow (Dec 1) would be a good day to put it up. I'm not attempting Dec Daily, but Dec 1 still seems like a good day

The tree itself has been up since Tuesday evening (had to take advantage of having the college kids home!) But it isn't decorated yet. I will probably do that this weekend.

Ours goes up this weekend, but I'm having a really hard time getting motivated to do it. It's such a chore. Maybe that means I should simplify, huh?

We just bought a new (artificial) tree yesterday and it went up this morning. It's pre-lit and about half the size of our last tree, so it was so easy!

So are we! But we do.

It DOES bother our allergies, and it's such a mess but we have always had a real tree because I love the way it smells & looks. I never felt this way before, but I want a fake tree so badly now... mostly for how easy they are to deal with. Unfortunately, we don't have the space to store it. This year might be our last with a real tree because next Christmas we should be in a bigger house with an attic & garage!!! Yay.

I totally buy scentsicles, air freshener, and candles that all smell like a real tree to help add to the feel. so worth it to have the convenience of a fake tree and how little shedding it does.

Ours goes up the day after Thanksgiving. It works out well now that the kids are in college. Right now it only has lights on it, but that's enough for me. We got the garland up in all the rooms and all the other decorations. The ornaments are mine to do over the next week or so.
