Default If you are giving info to newbies just starting out...

other than SSD, what sites would you tell them to go to? Especially tutorial sites/blogs for learning digital scrapping with PSE? I know Misty's blog has tutorials but where else?

Katie Pertiet's blog... or Designer Digitals. They have a lot of freebies (through their weekly challenges) and Katie's instructions/tutorials are amazing.

I found most of my info on digitalscrapbookplace.com when I was first starting out.

I would also say daily digi and DST would be good places to go.

I learned by grabbing a cookie from here and just doing with some help from a friend... though I think Misty's PSE tutes are great! Cindy has free templates on her FB page

I've learned a lot just from searching the SSD forums! There's lots of information in the older messages. Honestly, I am still very new and I've learned the most by reading the forums here, checking out the designers' blogs (where there are actually a fair amount of freebies, if you look), and especially participating in the portfolio here.

I usually recommend Hummie's World. She's got tons of beginner tutorials.

Scrapbook-Bytes has some pretty good tutorials for beginners. I also think that some of the SSD designers have really good tuts on their blogs: Misty has already been mentioned. Traci, Penny, and some of the others have good ones as well.

I'd definitely send them to The Daily Digi. They have a whole category called Just for Beginners and a HUGE list of tutorials. Plus, they can learn so much about great products and amazing designers.

I have been scrapping for a couple of years and NOTHING compares to SSD in terms of designers and kits! However, I'm very new to Photoshop and am just now taking the Jessica Sprague Up and Running Course. There is a sale on the course this month so I thought I'd give it a try. I have really learned some helpful hints so far and have been pleased!

Oops. Sorry. I just didn't think that anyone would want to shop at other stores. SSD has its own style and other shops don't really compare.
