Default OMG Intervention

OMG I need an intervention! I have at least 160 kits from just the last 6 months and I'm still looking through the shop What the! I haven't even used all the ones I have. Apparently I have a kit fetish

I am right there with you. I got a ton of stuff on DSD sales...then there were Black Friday sales.. Now there are Christmas sales... (I got a bunch more stuff today at the Advent sale...) I keep telling myself I'll use it all - eventually - and my pages are gonna look so cool... But, yes, I could use an intervention, as well.

I don't keep my "to be used" kits in a separate folder for this specific reason. It's probably best I don't ACTUALLY know how my kits I bought and haven't used.

Just think of it like this: You're supporting small business, and the money you spend is going to women you love, not lining the already full pockets of some big, nameless corporation.

But also, I think we all have that OMGOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE THIS MUCH STUFF moment, and I always use those moments to really think about what really makes me happy and then try not to go so overboard in the future.

At GGG I stocked up, thinking "This should keep me set for awhile." But then there was that lovely Halloween sale where select kits dropped to half off, and I HAD to pick out just a little something or other... but then DSD hit and, well, you can't skip DSD! So I bought again.... and then again on Black Friday... and today...

Each time I promise myself "Okay, this is the last for awhile!" And each time, I go nuts. HELP!

My boyfriend and I were discussing my habit, btw, and he said "Hey, if I spend that much on my games, then you shouldn't feel bad. You get enjoyment out of your hobby, and your hobby DOES something-- you're preserving our memories!" That made me feel better... he buys a game, finishes the game, buys a new game. I buy a kit and it helps me preserve memories. It's something that keeps bringing enjoyment for years.

I have this EXACT SAME PROBLEM.....haha. And I don't actually scrap that often, so I have a hard time justifying it to anyone, even myself lol I do PLAN to scrap all my pictures one day, and I know I'll use a majority of everything eventually....but still...haha

yea, definitely the wrong place for an intervention! We most likely will just encourage this behavior!

yep i definitely have this problem. Im trying really hard to do the challenges tho, because that uses up alot of my unused kits....only problem is then getting a 40% discount and buying a whole heap more kits! lol.
When my mother in law asked what i want for christmas this year tho, i said a gift certificate for here. At least that way, i feel like im spending her money and not my own! haha

They say the first step is admitting you have a problem.

But I don't. Nope, not me. Not at all. What, those kits over there? The hundreds that I haven't used yet? Psssshh. That's nothing. You should see the kits I wanted and DIDN'T buy. Nope, no problem here, nothing to see, move along.

Same here! I spent about $100 on the Black Friday sale and told myself, there you have everything you have wanted, so now you don't need to buy anything else for the rest of the year. Then the 50%+ off of Bargain Bites happened and I had to buy and I'm sure there will be a few more things to crop up that I will HAVE TO BUY! I will be all set for the new year and not need to buy anything for awhile. Yeah right!!!

hilarious.
i have the same issue. once i watched a docu about hoarding. someone said, that these people think they will live forever and have limitless time to use all that stuff.
that really sent me to understanding that i have to let go of lots of my THINGS.
my ihd and ehd are full to the brim and i keep buying until my laptop freezes. it's a shame that i will never be able to use all that stuff.

but it is a breeze just going through my preview gallery in acdsee lol. *sigh*
