A little nervous this morning...
Probably a silly thing to be nervous about...
BUT Scott is going to play Santa today at the Assisted Living Center I work part time at. We are planning on taking Landen to see "Santa" but the entire situation has butterflies in my stomach. You may not know but Landen stays home with his daddy-and because of this has very little outside social interaction. He has become a bit scared of almost anybody that isn't in his direct circle of family and the constant entourage of teenage boys. I know that Santa is gonna FREAK him out. So here is my dilemma, do we let Landen see his daddy get all dressed up, and run the risk that he will possibly ruin some other little kids dreams of Santa, or do we just let him be freaked out even though I don't think he should have to be since it is going to be his DAD in the suit? I'm leaning towards not taking him, but Scott says that isn't even an option, he is not dressing up as Santa and not even seeing Landen... Just a nervous wreck...ohhh and to top it all off the skies have opened up and we are not getting a big snow storm on top of the nasty ice that has never melted.

I say let him see Santa and not see Scott getting dressed up. What is Christmas w/out the traditional freak out picture?

You never know until you try!
If he starts freaking out, then you can have Santa give him a piece of candy and then take him away. That way Daddy can see him (why he's really doing it right) and he probably won't even recognize Daddy anyway so I doubt it would ruin it for him that way. |

LOL at Meg's point of view.
I have no advice Shannon but I hope it all goes well and you don't get too much snow!

Ditto Meghan, I have some of Rae flipping out this year when Santa came to skating. She hid behind the door to the penalty box and wouldn't come out LOL.
I think it's better if he doesn't see Scott, but that's just MO. Drive safe out there, and I hope you don't get much snow!

My DS (4) has little outside contact as well, staying home with me. He is so outgoing and fun and funny with his family and people he knows...but strangers, especially adults freak him out.
We took him to see Santa and we prepared him, and he knew what he was going to ask him for and he was so excited. Poor kid froze up and starting shaking. When Santa asked him what he wanted it was all he could do to mutter "toys....." He was terrified. Later he was nervous that he wouldnt get anything because he was too shy and scared to talk to Santa. But we assured him that it would be okay because Santa always knows. I say take him. If he freaks .... he freaks... It will be ok!!!

I say take him and I agree with Meg, our Santa picture this year is my 2 year old crying on Santa's lap. It happens.

Take him, but don't let him see it's Daddy, IMO.

Ohhh it was wonderful girls!
TY for your advice...I totally took it and decided NOT to let Landen see Scott get dressed up and you know at first he was really nervous...and then he ended up being just a LITTLE nervous but hid it pretty well. Scott was the BEST Santa ever...I love that man...let me edit a picture really quickly to show you! The place they set up for Santa was AWFUL...Our dining room is flanked by windows on the north and the south, so my of the pictures I am going to have to edit the heck out of to deal with the blow out from the window...BLAH... Scott and I Landen and Daddy

I really like this preset for lightroom...I think it almost makes it look like its painted on paper...interesting-I think I've had it forever and never used it.
