Default thinking of switching from

a cannon rebel to a nikon d80...
I used someones nikon while on vacation and loved it, and her picture clairty was awesome. Any thoughts. Right now I have just been using my point and shoot cause i dropped my cannon lense that was light and fun(shhhh! dh has no idea)...but after using the nikon now i just want a new camera all togehter.....

I just upgraded to a Nikon D90 and LOVE it!!! I upgraded from a D40x but rapidly outgrew it. I just sold it to my brother!

I think you'd be better off buying a nicer lens. The best camera in the world with a cheap lens isn't much/any better than a lower end camera with a nicer lens. kwim?
