Default Adhering laminated paper?

If you were going to make this:

and were going to laminate it so you could give it to your 3.5 y/o to play with and have it last longer than just paper, what adhesive would you use to attach the sides of the purse to the body? I'm thinking maybe terrifically tacky tape but maybe there's a better option out there that I'm not considering.

Thanks!

Yep...I would say the red line tape as well (or TTT). It reeeeeeally holds things in place!

If the TTT doesn't hold up, you could use a hole puncher to put a few holes in each side and sew it together with ribbon. That's how I've put together the laminated books that I've made for my kids. The ribbon holds up well, but I didn't have much luck with embroidery floss.

I'm with Rachel on that ... TTT might work for everyday ... but with a young one playing with it ... you probably want to sew it. ...and if you were trying to make it last for more than a day (snicker) ... I'd probably set eyelets into the holes and then lace it up.

>>I snicker because I remember how quickly toddlers can tear things up<<

I second sewing it and velcroing the cover. It'll last longer I think.

Ooh, sewing it would be a great idea! I've tried just using regular double sided sticky tape, and that was NOT effective at all. Lasted all of 5 minutes WITHOUT a kid playing with it. LOL.
