My hubs is a truck driver and my son LOVES to see the big trucks and all and is always telling daddy that he wants to go to work with him. My DD likes going to see the big trucks but doesn't say that she wants to drive them. I also have a girly-girl and tomboy mixture daughter! LOL!

My husband has been the buyer and the managerial accountant for heating/cooling company. Earlier this year he finally finished his bachelor's degree in business management and would be job hunting for a bigger/better job.... except there are no jobs out there right now.

My oldest is 17 and he loves a good excel spreadsheet like his dad. LOL Jacob does all my business accounting and is excellent at it. He is brilliant in math (only missed ONE question in the math section of the SAT) and plans to be a structural engineer. He'll be going to college with plans to get a double degree in engineering and mathematics.

My youngest is 6 and says he definitely will NOT be growing up to be like daddy. LOL He sees that daddy works super hard around 60+ hours a week and does not want that for his life. He wants to build toys or be a train engineer or run a train museum.

Dave works for Tmobile as a Network Operation technician. I think that's the name for it. For a few months he was working an hour or so away in New Jersey but currently he is working about 20 min from home.

I don't know exactly what he does but he works more with the cell phone towers and sends engineers out to fix problems and such.

Those guys were always awesome anytime I had dealings with them. I always liked talking with the ones who were out there hands on or who dealt with the technical end of the job, and could help me understand something for a customer. I used to work for Alltel doing sales many years ago. Back before the age of Blackberries when people were still playing with ringtones and voice mail LOL

My DH is in the Air Force working with the F-22 (and currently deployed). DS loves airplanes, so they have that in common. DS is only 20 months, but aviation seems to run in the blood around here, so it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up at least having a pilot's license someday...

starting September my DH will be an LPN student---which will bridge to an RN while he's working as an LPN! Otherwise, he's worked for Sprint&Dell Computers doing Gold tech support for businesses..ontop of a construction business putting up sunrooms.

DD likes to play "doctor" but has grown up with it around my parents who are a doctor and a nurse and I also finishing my RN working at a labor and delivery Patient care tech...she does like to steal my little pen light and my scope

Joel is a Mental and Behavioral Health Specialist / Social Worker. He just lost his job due to budget cuts with the Intensive Learning Program with the DOE here in Hawaii. His job was basically a behavioral specialist working with mentally ill and/or behaviorally challenged high school students (mostly male) who are unable to function on a normal campus, so they are housed at the ILP. He loved that job and in his 4 years with the program had a 90% graduation rate with those kids.

It is NOT a good time to be looking for work in the non-profit / social services fields!!! He does start a new job this week at Aloha House, which is a drug and alcohol treatment center. It will basically be the same type of job he had with the DOE, but with adults. He hates working with adults.

Oh, and he coaches high school wrestling. I love to brag about his wrestling skillz (he hates it when I do that) - but he wrestled for the University of Oklahoma and was a smokin' hot 197-lb Sooner Wrestler.

If our 2.5 yr old son imitates any of those things, it's definitely the wrestling - he has a mean single leg takedown!! LOL! (I'm not really sure how you imitate a behavioral health specialist - to hear Joel talk about it, he's a glorified babysitter)

My dh is a truck driver, his contract is with Macy's and ds totally imitates him and he's so funny b/c when ds is moving his furniture around his room or in the garage moving stuff around he says gosh this is heavy and hard work how does dad do this all day? I don't want his job and the he's like gimme some water, which his dad faithfully goes for when he gets home, LOL
DS forever says that he wants to be a Mayor or work in an office, we'll see how that goes.

Billy is a Project Manager for a general contractor construction company. He bids the job out, develops the budget and schedule and runs the job site. Most of his work involves looking at plans, fighting with architects and overseeing all the contractors. His current job is a new middle school and he just finished an office park for Marathon Oil.

On most weekends Billy and the boys are at the ranch working cows, building fence and other maintenance. The boys have both shown interest in his work. What boy doesn't like cranes, cement trucks and bulldozers? They are more interested in my dad's work- he is a veterinarian. Lance did tell me the other day that when he grows up he wants to be a baseball player for the Astros.

My dh manages the airlines opperations budget and dispatches for an airfreight company. My girls don't mimic him, but they love playing like they're pilots and going to Daddy's work and seeing all of the planes.

Jeff has two jobs. His regular full time job is a truck driver for an excavating company. JJ wants to drive big trucks like daddy. During the winter, and then evenings and weekends the rest of the year, he works at OReillys Auto Parts. Abby is convinced that every single OReillys we pass is his work.
