Default Designers-calendars anyone?

Anyone interested or thinking about making QP style calendars? If so, can I request they come in landscape? I always scrap my own calendars and have them printed at shutterfly or artscow for my family... they like "traditional" spiral bound landscape calendars...

Anyway, I'm thinking I'll "cheat" this year and use a QP style calendar if I can find one in the right orientation (hint, hint)... I saw Melissa's 8.5x11, but I need 11x8.5. TIA!

Do you mean like the ones that have binding in the middle with a picture on the top and the calendar on the bottom? Misty has these in the shop.

My mom wants one for Christmas and I've never done one before. Is there an option to do a scrapbooking calendar at Shutterfly? Or do you just use the one that has the biggest opening for a photo?

no you can do it at Shutterfly. One of the layout options is a single photo, just like the photo books.

Here's another incentive to get your calendars done: Shutterfly is having a sale and calendars are 30% off through Sept 30th!!

Edit: Just noticed that they have free shipping on orders over $30 too. I need to get mine done!!

See...I knew there was a reason I needed to hurry! And yes- Shutterfly has where you can upload the entire "top" instead of using their stuff.

I'm trying to get mine done before the sale ends...first I need to get a crucial part from Misty. LOL

ETA: I'm good to go! Now I know what I'm going to do tonight!

I just wanted to add, mine are landscape, on the preview they look different because I put the two pages together, if that makes sense.

Also, Zoe should be putting out her new ones shortly, too. Not this weekend, I think, but super soon.

Stephanie, is there a way to get the cover of the calendar to actually cover the whole page? The biggest one I can find looks like this:

Jen the ones I made @ Shutterfly for 2008 had the entire front of the calendar covered so there is a way to do it. Let me see if I can figure it out

Okay I just checked and mine was the Collage Calendar and not the Classic Calendar, so that is the difference. The Collage version allows you to fully customize all pages including the cover

Yes... go to "collage calendar" and create or edit. Then there are tabs on the left- click layout, and in the row that says 1 picture, on the far right you'll see the full page gray page. You don't have to worry about the background then obviously, so just ignore that tab.

Thanks Melissa for letting me know too! I thought it was a hybrid letter style and not landscape. thanks!

I need to get started on mine for 2010 so I actually get them done this year. I never got around to making the 2009 ones for the grandparents and great-grandparents and believe me I've been hearing about it all year long!! After getting them for Christmas the previous two years before that I guess they've come to expect them! lol

Look what I found on page 1 of the GGG sale!!!

Since I made my own last year, it doesn't matter if these were for 2009! Grabbing!

My problem is that I want matching bottoms (the calendar part) too!

Melissa, didn't you do that last year? I thought that's where I got mine but I could be wrong....

I also used Artscow and they turned out great, minus the fact that they had an issue with shipping the 2nd, 3rd and 4th calendars to me (they took a month longer than the first one).

I think Mpix will let you use your own calendar bottoms, not sure of any others though.

You can do "bottoms" at Artscow too. That just sounds dirty! LOL
