Default Does anyone have a Pixel 2?

I just got mine last week, and it takes amazing pictures...at least, they look amazing on my phone. However, when I download them to my computer, either by downloading directly from google photos or sycning my computer to Google Photos, the quality is significantly worse. The colors are muted and it looks grainy, while on my phone the photos are vibrant and crisp.

The photo is 3.57 MB, so it's not small by any means. I've googled this, and I seem to be the only one having this problem.

I wouldn't think it's my computer screen settings because everything else is true, like when I print my layouts they look exactly like they do on my screen. Anybody have any ideas?

My husband will text me photos from his phone & they're always so small! I've tried looking through him settings and can't figure it out either.

What happens when you look at the same website on both your phone and your computer? I can't think of a reason why only the pictures you take would be different, but maybe your phone screen defaults to a vivid color type of mode.

Ok. So, I might have been exaggerating when I said it was "grainy". I just have to edit them in PSE, same as my dSLR photos, but on my camera screen, they look like they've already been edited (or taken by someone who knows how to use a dSLR on manual). But I still wish it'd download the way it looks on my screen!

I think this has nothing to do with the model of the phone or/and brand. It usually happens because phone screens are different (different resolution, more vibrant colors, different technology, etc) than computer screens. I also experience this with my phone. When I download the photos to my PC, I edit them.
