SSD Blending Tutorial link

Hello! I was checking out some of the tutorials tonight and the Blending Tutorial mentions "Paint Wash by Julie Billingsly" but the link associated with that no longer functions.
Granted this tutorial appears to have been created in 2012...but the paint wash example was exactly what I've been looking for lately.
Any suggestions?
Maybe a new tutorial on blending would be helpful?
I love the look I see on so many layouts of how photographs especially blend and disappear into background papers but I haven't quite figured out how to do it myself

Was it something like paint brushes ?? I do think there are a lot of freebies on the internet. I am not sure if I am allowed but here is a link to several free paint brushes Oh, I tend to find a lot of great free paint brushes on deviantart too.

This is a trend that really caught on since that tutorial. At the time of that tutorial, it was something designers sold in separate element packs, but no one does that now... it seems like these days almost every kit includes some kind of paint element (whether it's a splatter, a wash or something with some mixed media elements). You can group and merge a bunch of different paint elements together to make a larger single area and then clip papers to it. Search your scrapbook supply folder for "paint" and then drag a bunch of them onto your layout.

If you're not finding any paint in your scrap stash, there are a lot of free photoshop paint brushes on the web or to buy at digi CU supply stores.
