Default WLPG and PSD Files

I'm full of questions. Sorry!

When I copy files into WLPG, the psd files don't seem to be there? Am I doing something wrong? I recall saying something about png files being an issue, so is it the same for psd?

It won't read the .psd files. What I do is save everything as layered .tif files. The previews show and it saves HD space.

I had to go through and batch convert all my templates. I didn't do old layouts.

Keep asking. I'll help as much as I can.

It is wise to convert to the ways of the tif anyway. Saves lot of HD space, you can view them as thumbnails in explorer, there is ZERO loss from PSD to TIFF.
Make sure you use the LZW and ZIP options to maxmize your conversion.

I'm not sure what this means. It seems like a lot of work to convert everything. So all psd and what about pngs?

When you open a PSD and go to file>save as and select Tiff, there's an options box that pops up. Just make sure those 2 options are checked and you're good to go. I created an action for myself that will run through the contents of a folder and convert everything tiff for me, easy peasy.

WLPG should be previewing your .png files. Is it not automatically doing that?

I didn't convert everything. I just started when I started using wlpg. And I did the templates because it was so worth it. I did a batch convert but I don't remember how I did it. I'll see if I can find it.

I need to try png files again.

Nothing at all copies over from the psd files. It's empty when I open it.
