Default Jenn Barrette Shadows

Hi ladies!

I am transitioning from CS5 to CC due to the fact that I got a new computer and can't get my CS5 to get loaded! I'm not happy about it.

I use a very old product of Jenn's for my shadows that I had saved under a photoshop style.

I can't find them in my stash. I have lost a lot of scrapbooking supplies over the years with a EHD crash so maybe I lost them. Or maybe I just can't figure out where to look. Does anybody know the file name they were under?

Thanks in advance!

Amy

A couple suggestions if someone can't provide you the file name.
1. Do a file search for .asl file types on your computer
2. Go into PS5 and save your styles (click on the lines in the upper right of the Styles palette and choose "save styles" and then load them into the new version

Good luck!

I use Krystal's shadows which she still has available free on her blog. I included the link in a shadowing tutorial I wrote here: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/t...ghten-up-baby/

Thanks Sheri!

1. I tried searching for .asl files before posting this. The problem is (I have many problems) that my current EHD that has all of my scrapping stuff on it. It worked on my last Mac. It does not work on my new Mac. Apparently it wasn't formulated for a Mac and the old Mac OS was fine with that but the new Mac OS is not fine with that. So my files are in some sort of read only mode and the computer won't search the EHD.

2. I didn't know you could do this. I will have to fire up my old dying barely functioning Mac and do this!

Thanks for your advice!

Definitely checking this out! I wonder if it would look weird in my PL album if all the sudden Week 49 and beyond have different shadows?

Honestly? I doubt that anyone but you would notice!

No one will notice, especially if you have to flip the page when you start the new shadows, but as long as your old machine fires up, you shouldn't have a problem transferring your shadows from PS, so hopefully it's not an issue.

If you saved any of your older layouts in .tiff or .psd, you can save the shadow style of what you've used previously to try to rebuild your lost styles

I'm sorry you lost yours. I do this quite often and it's so infuriating!
