Default Washi Tape shadows?

I'm working on a layout and using a digital piece of washi tape for the very first time. I'm ready to add a shadow but i'm at a loss. I've got shadow styles that I bought here a couple of years ago but the vellum or acrylic settings look wrong. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you for posting a link. I never would have thought of dodging and burning. Great idea.
