Default Laptop Help

I am hoping to be looking for one in the next 2 months, but I don't know what route to go lol. I know I can't afford a mac, and I'm looking at a budget of at least 800 (that includes any fancy stuff i might want lmao!) so any help ladies?

Hey, congrats on getting a new laptop. Sharon Kay just got a new one and posted specs. She got a lot for the price, as I recall. It is a good starting point anyway. I think this is the link to that thread. https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com...ghlight=laptop

Hope this helps! I want a new computer so bad!!!

Actually, if you can still find them, Apple dropped the prices of some of their macbooks. One of them was dropped to around $950, which is a great price for a MACBOOK. They dropped the prices because they came out with their new line of macbooks. I love my Macbook and will never go back to a windows based computer. They are too much hassle and have too many issues. The good thing about apple computers is that everything is manufactured by them, so you only have deal with one place when and if something should go wrong. I have had mine since January and have not had any problems, plus, as of right now, I don' t have to worry about all those crazy viruses and such.

Look around and you may even find one of the older Macbooks for even less that what I mentioned above. Good luck with your search!!!!

I hate to say it but I would highly recommend the MacBook too - as someone who had several PC laptops before getting my Macbook, there is just no comparison. You may want to look into refurbs from Apple (they're seriously brand new) to get a good deal on one.

This one is about $150 more than you're looking to spend but I can promise, you wont be sorry. With a PC laptop - you might be in a couple of months.

Good Luck with your search Brandy!

Gotta agree with my girls above. I just ordered my Macbook (DH got it for my birthday in two weeks LOL). But, I have the iMac (two of them actually) and I won't ever go PC again. You'd love the Macbook Brandy.

I just bought a laptop yesterday for $549, HP G60-120US ....AMD Turion 64 X2 RM-70, 250GB hard drive, Built-in 802.11abgn wireless, 3GB of DDR2 memory, Burns DVDs/LightScribe, Built-in webcam. I got $200 off. I wanted something with 4GB of memory, but I couldn't beat the price (unless I wanted to get up at 4am and stand in the rain, lol).
