Christmas Shopping
There are just a few more days until Christmas. With that said, who's done shopping and who still needs to buy more presents? --------------------------------------------------------------- For those celebrating Hanukkah and other holidays this season, do you wait until the last minute or are/were you done ahead of the holiday week? |

DONE! Last gift purchased & wrapped this morning! We are headed to my family's christmas in western WA this weekend, so I had to be a bit more on top of it! lol! Now I just have to get stuff ready for packing up!

I used to be good at packing. I'd pack 1-3 weeks in advance, unpack and repack to make sure I have everything. Now I'm lucky if I'm packed the night before as we are loading the car up for the drive in the morning!

We are officially DONE as of last night after Church! We are behind on wrapping though, but I plan on working on that this week! I asked Sarah (my oldest, birthday this weekend) if I could just put her gifts in a gift bag rather than wrap them up! I'm tired of wrapping!!!
I usually try to keep the girls gifts even (number wise), but I think I am off this year! I started wrapping and putting gifts under the tree as I could, rather than waiting and doing it mostly at one time. I figure the girls are older now, I'm not waiting until Christmas Eve to put all the gifts out! There are a few big ones that will go out after they are asleep, but mostly...they are all under the tree already!

STICK A FORK IN ME! I'm done
Haven't wrapped a thing, but I still have 6 days of procrastination before THAT becomes an issue And I'm off work starting tomorrow, so time to bake cookies and start relaxing. I kept the decorating super low key this year - less to get out, less to put away. But the tree is up and it's so purty! |

Done. I wrapped everything last Friday morning. In all fairness, I only buy for my kids, so it was easy.

I had such a hard time getting myself moving for Christmas this year.
I need to get money gifts in the mail, so those will definitely be late. Other than that, I think I finished my shopping yesterday. I still have at least one scarf that I need to knit.

I am done buying, I just need to get wrapping. I finished my release for this week early, so I may work on that tonight. Or I may just sit and read a book. LOL

LOL, not so much after all. I had a typo in a piece of word art so I had to fix it and reload, etc... No need to be jealous of a bad speller.

I still need to buy something for my father & my grandfather + figure out what to do about my son's "big excavator" (why when he already has 3 or 4?!) wish from Santa. I need to take the kids out to buy something for their dad, too.
This has been a terrible very-Grinchy-feeling week and a half so I'm patting myself on the back that I did 90% of the shopping this past Monday before I started feeling super sick. |

These days I never feel finished. I am always on the look out for last minute items. I'm really not feeling Christmasy at all this year so I am struggling and I think everyone may just get underwear!

I’m done. Actually, my brother is the last one to buy for and I’m just getting him an Amazon GC so that’s easy! Still have some wrapping to do.

I typically start my shopping online on Black Friday and then finish over the few weeks after that. With Hanukkah's timing changing every year, there are years it's late and I'm prepared ahead of time and years when it's early and I'm buying gifts throughout the holiday. It also depends whether the kids give me a good wishlist or make me choose all their presents.
This year Hanukkah was so early that I wasn't ready. The few items they asked for were big things, which meant that I had a lot less money available to spend for the other nights. My daughter's 10th birthday is coming up soon (ie, things need to be delivered before Christmas if I order onliine), and I'm struggling to find gifts for her. She's at that in between age where she has outgrown toys but hasn't really embraced older kid gifts. Some of what she wants (Toms and room decorations) I can only give her IOUs for--she'll want to pick them out for herself. The few things she's asked for that I can buy don't seem like enough to have for her to open.

I'm done minus 1 present that I have to go and exchange on Monday morning because I bought the wrong thing yesterday.
