Default Photobook Companies

I am looking to print an 8X8 hardcover photobook of our recent Disney trip. In the past, I have used Artscow but I have heard a lot of people complain about the recent quality. Who do you all use for printing your books? I would like a company that will do a great job but won't cost an arm and a leg. I have tried Shutterfly but am having issues with their covers.

Thanks in advance!

I have used Artscow for years. I have never thought the quality was bad when compared to the price. I have quite a few Shutterfly ones, too, and the only difference I have seen is that Artscow occasionally cuts the page with extra white space on one side always even thought I size them correctly. I haven't been bothered by it.

I agree with you! I just haven't printed a book with them in over a year. I just started hearing lots of bad things about quality so I didn't know if they had changed something since I printed last. When was the last time you printed a book with artscow?

I really like Blurb. I just ordered my 2013 book yesterday. It's like 150 pages, 12x12, and I upgraded to the fancy photo paper. It's was $120 with a discount code I found online.

I used Mixbook for my last couple books. Nice book, but I found their cropping off of 1/4 inch from each page a challenge to work with. Atleast they show you the cropping lines, but I had to go back into Photoshop and edit quite a few of my 2013 pages.

I use Winkflash and have always been happy with them. I have an action bought at another store that resizes my layouts to fit their photobooks, so no worries about cropped pages.

They run specials throughout the year (got an email about one today in fact) where you can add additional pages at no cost. I'm frugal and only buy my books on special, so I get a 100 page photo book for the cost of a 20 page one.

I've only ever printed two photobooks, both from Artscow, I think the last one was done last year and I think the quality is pretty good for the price!

Viovio.com is who I use. They changed their name. I've printed around 20 books with them. I love them

I've been using Shutterfly lately, and I always make my album covers pretty simple so they print/upload easier.

I also like My Pic Tales. At the bottom of their homepage, they have coupons for 15% off any order and 25% off any order of $100 or more.

I heard great reviews on Persnickety Prints, but I've never tried them. I think they have occasional sales during special holidays. They might have a sale during iNSD (which will be next week), but I'm not sure. http://www.persnicketyprints.com/

I mostly use shutterfly and then I use mixbooks for my albums that are more than 130 pages.

Like a month ago. There's always been talk about them not having good quality. I've only had one that was disappointing, the first one, and that only made people who were naturally red looking, look even more red.

I agree - I'd love to have that!

My iPhone thinks it's smarter than I am. Please forgive typos and other nonsense.

My DH is a red head...more red looking might not be too good!
