Default extraction program for mac

Hi. I just switched to a MAC and trying to get comfortable enough with scrapping again.

I used to use unzip them all to bulk upzip my downloads. Amy MAC users have a comparable program? TIA

I'll be honest, when I download from the store, it may be my settings (I can't remember) but it automatically unzips the files, sends the zips to the garbage bin and my unzipped files to my download folder.

Do you use safari as your browser? I know that is automatic there. I use chrome so i'm unsure if there is a setting but maybe there is!

I just double click to unzip and select all at once if I have multiple.

Hi, PictureMom - I'm a PC user, not a Mac user, but I'm completely sold on a program called Extract Now. All I do is drag-and-drop my ZIP files into the Extract Now window, and it unzips them all and, if it's successful, deletes the original ZIP file.

I looked for a Mac alternative to Extract Now, and came up with this web page: https://alternativeto.net/software/e.../?platform=mac

Obviously, I can't speak to the efficacy of any of the programs on the list, but maybe it's a good place to start. Hope it's helpful!

Thanks for taking the time to look for me. I will check out that program.

When I down load from the store, they go to my downloads folder and I just double clip and they extract on their own.... My Mac came like that.

I'm in the 'mine does it automatically' team.

I do use safari.

Your mac automatically unzips your zip files for you when you double click on them. RAR files are a different matter though, but, you don't really need any additional program to unzip on mac. That's one of the reasons I love my mac
