Default My big girl!

So, Ella was 21 inches at birth and I measured her tonight and she's 24 inches!! That's 3 inches in 7 weeks! I measured twice to be sure...I was curious b/c today it was in the 70's so I tried putting her in a onesie and after going through 4 that were too short I got to wondering how long she is now. I'd already had to pack away all the newborn sleepers I was using b/c she's too long for them...so now she's in 3-6 month stuff. I had soo many cute newborn clothes that she never even wore. She's just growing too fast! She has a really long torso and very long legs. She's going to be tall for sure lol.

Where's that "this thread is useless without pictures" smiley when you need it

I was tall as a baby. Now, not so much. Not that I'm bitter or anything

Ha, I was small as a baby and because of that everyone thought I would end up being tall.........that didn't work out.

They grow so fast though!

Aw, they do grow so quickly, well most do. Meri was still wearing NB clothes at 4 months. It was nice to get so much wear out of her clothes, but I have to admit I would get impatient for her to fit into new clothes!

And I agree, we need pics!!!

it is funny how some grow fast and other grow slow. I have a son that was 22in and is super tall for a 7yr old. He wears size 10 pants for length!!! Then my baby is 20 mos and can still fit in 9mos clothes. She is just a wee thing. Either way they just grow too fast!!!!

Well, she gets it honest b/c at 5'7" I'm the shortest in my family, all the men in my family are over 6 feet, and my sisters are both 5'11" as well as my mom. Then Brian is 6'2" and his sister is 5'11" and all the men in his family are over 6'. My grandfather is 6'5"! lol Everyone calls me short in my family and I try to explain that I'm average..they're just all giants lol. At 3 1/2 Avery is taller than most of the kids his age.

So little miss Ella will probably be taller than her Mama some day lol. What makes me so sad about her growing so fast though is how much Brian is missing. I was thinking this morning, by the time he's home for good she'll be 6 months old. He's missing all her new babyness and it just breaks my heart.
