Default The Power of Prayers...
Its so difficult at a time like this...you feel so helpless. Its every mother's worst nightmare. Your newborn in intensive care and there is NOTHING you can do but have faith.

My nephew Johan, just 3 wks old has been in and out of hospital and dr office since day one. He went home and was right back in the next day. This past tuesday he had stomach/intestine surgery and as soon as he was out without complications he got an infection because of the tube that was inserted. He has been in icu since. Last night they stopped with the sedatives because his brain is swollen and has not woken up from the anesthetia.

He is 3 hrs away and i can not make the trip right now. All i can do is pray.

I know some of you pray so please please pray that he gets better.

Was he born full term? That sounds a lot like some of the issues my 26 week micro preemie had. I know how scared she is and I will definitely keep him in my prayers.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers they are really appreciated.

Unfortunately the bad news just came. He has sepsis. An infection in the blood that cant be cured. Doctors already said there is nothing more they can do plus his kidneys are failing. Its all in Gods hands now.

I know in my heart God will gladly receive him with open arms.

It has been such a roller coaster....

sunday night they were preparing us for the worst and yesterday morning he's been reacting to treatment and seems to be doing better with blood transfusions...but still is in nicu...

my faith keeps growing each day

My heart is aching for all of you, Sasha. Try to remember that all these horrible problems are not insurmountable . . . almost everything you've told us could have been written about my great-nephew a couple of years ago, but he made it fine & is now a totally healthy and active toddler. Keep the faith!! Meanwhile, I'm lifting you up in prayer. ((hugs))
