Do you say it with three syllables or two? In CA everyone pronounced it with two. So Oregon is said pretty much exactly like you would say organ.

yes! I remember thinking my hubby was weird because of the way he said Oregan (like organ). (he grew up in Sacramento)

He also says ten like TIN. (well he used to - after getting teased about it all during college he doesn't say it like that anymore!)

3 syllables, but the middle one is short and fast. LOL I'm in Northern Oregon and we and Washington say Oregon as 3 syllables. And of course, now I need to mention that Washington is NOT Warsh-ing-ton. LOL
