Default Silhouette

Both Portrait and Cameo on sale at zulily. Is the Portrait as good as the Cameo. I know Portrait is smaller but do I really need the larger Cameo?
Not to mention I can afford the Portrait but not the Cameo.

unless you really NEED to be able to cut items at 12x12, the portrait is fine. I have the portrait and love it.

It's the same price on Amazon right now, with free shipping if you're a prime member.

even if you don't have Amazon Prime, it's still free shipping... just that Prime is free 2-day shipping instead of the free super saver shipping ground shipping at Amazon

and I have a Portrait and I'm super happy with it because I do hybrid and print and cut mostly and my printer prints 8.5x11, so I don't need the bigger Cameo

I have got to quit looking at these threads! I want one of these so bad! I think I want the 12" one though because some of the projects I do for teachers are done on 8.5x12" paper (which I never knew existed before this job. ROFL

Ugh. I REALLY want one though.

the Portrait will cut longer than 11", just not 12" wide... I think it will cut up to 2 feet long... though I believe that's for things that don't require a mat.. but I'm almost positive my mat on my portrait will do 12" long... I'm away from my desk so I can't check right now

ok, I just checked the website and the cutting mat cuts up to 8" wide and 12" long, but you don't have to cut down the sides of your 8.5 wide paper, fyi

Not sure what the price is on that site (I couldn't get to iT), but I just got email from Jessica Sprague and she has it for sale at $139 with code JESSICA.

It comes with sketch pen starter kit and free shipping.

Ahh.. I didn't click on Calculate Shipping. It showed $0.00 and I believed it! Sorry, my bad!

Well, that makes it easy for me to pass it up!
