A picture you took this summer that shows what summer means to you!

<3 can't wait to see!! Summer is such a special time with so many different moments.. for me my favourite picture (I THINK)


I posted it on FB so some may have seen it but I think from all my pictures this one just screams summer to me.. we had a picnic last weekend when my sister came down and so it was just a simple summer moment

I'm one of those super nostalgic people too so I think having a picture like this of lucas eating a piece of watermelon which is something we would have done as kids too (course I don't really like watermelon lol)

We have spent very little time outside doing classic summer things, so even though this isn't a classic summer picture, this really does personify our summer:

oh these make me happy!! <3 I don't even super LOVE summer because hot weather is not so fun (and i mean it doesn't even get super hot here) but anyways these are so fun! so glad these kiddos get to experience this

We are all pretty lucky Simple things make the kids so happy hey? We worry so much about finding ways to entertain them and doing special things and I don't know when I look back on everything it was the same.. a little sprinkler setup in the backyard and I was happy as can be.

For us summer means time at the lake and time outdoors enjoying the weather (even if it's hot!) Winters can be long so we hike, swim, and travel during the summer

LOL-So true!

I have to go with 2. First, swimming. My oldest FINALLY learned to swim this summer, but most of my swimming pics from this summer are from our first few swims, before he was really swimming. I need to take my camera to the pool again soon.



Second, my family (the 5 of us plus my parents, brother, sister, BIL, and nephew). We don't live near them, so we treasure our annual summer trip together.

I'm not going to lie, we've spent the majority of the summer being couch potatoes. I had a baby in April and it has been melt-your-skin-off hot all summer long so we've spent a lot of time loving on this little chunk in the comfort of the A/C

There was some swimming this summer but the best one was when we took a trip to the ocean. My daughter's first time oceanside in Cali.

My poor husband was SOAKED after this. I went on the bumper boats 4 times and didn't get nearly as wet. Those kids got him good!
