Default Grey's Chatter: Where Are The Kids?!

So I'm current on "Grey's," but... where are her kids?! They've shown her carpooling more than once with The Other Sisters with nary a kid in sight. Does she have a nanny that they never mentioned on the show?! Does she drop them off at the hospital and then go back for The Other Sisters?! Did they grow wings after last season?! I can't think of an explanation.

It bothers me more every week.

You missed the episode where they did, in fact, grow wings?

What Traci said. Boo.

It happens on SO many shows. Remember Friends - Ross' son disappeared after a few seasons. Then his and Rachel's baby girl was around for a wee bit before she was "with the nanny" an awful lot.

I just don't get why Shonda would write in No. 3 if we are then never going to see him, KWIM?

They used to at least throw them in a shot for a couple of minutes.

Pretty sad that people (like Shawna) even forgot that she was a mom when so much of her storyline in years past was abt her mom issues mentally and physically.

You were already on my crap list, Ms. Rhimes, for ending MerDer. Don't make me bump you up to the top of the list by getting rid of her kids, too!

I don't want it to be true, but this show BORES me to death now. You would think being the single mom of three kids dealing with such a huge loss would provide plenty of storylines, right?

I wondered the same thing the WHOLE show. I just put it in my head that she had a nanny and were somehow kept in one corner of the house..lol! It really was weird.

I agree, Marla. The show has definitely gotten boring. It is the last show I watch on the DVR for a reason. It's not the same without Christina Yang. That was when it went downhill for me and by then it was already hanging on by a thread.

Hopefully this isn't a spoiler for anyone... But what about last week when Alex and Mer were talking about if she ever had to "choose" between them and she only named two of them??

I stopped watching a few years ago....then caught the episode where Derek died. I was so lost.

While I was in Reno this weekend I caught the very first episode while sitting in my hotel room. I might have to start over again on Netflix.

wait nevermind I remember. Was a flashback episode right? I hate those. She went into labor on her floor if I remember correctly and was having Zola call for help then flashbacking to her mom telling her the same thing. She named her Ellis

Doesn't she disappear when Derek dies because she's pregnant? Then she has the baby and comes back to the hospital after that? It really did seem like a weird afterthought / mirroring of Ellis Grey going away in the past when Mer was young to have Richard's baby and give her up for adoption, no?

So it is three, isnt it?

I agree... painfully boring now. None of it makes sense anymore and it was SOOOOO good for so long. They should have quit while they were ahead.

Yep, my daughter is the one who remembered that she had the baby while she was gone after Derek died and that Zola had to call 911 - just like when Mer was young and Ellis slit her wrists and she had to call 911. I totally forgot she named her Ellis.

Reading this makes me SO glad I stopped watching a few seasons ago... I tried to keep hanging on but I just couldn't do it anymore. I can't believe they killed off Derek

Yeah, the Derek ep wrecked me almost as badly as the Sloan/Lexie episode.

I'm stubborn, though, and after binge-watching all the seasons last summer, I have to stick it out until the bitter end.

And bitter it shall be as all the good characters are gone now.

LOL - this is me too... I did the same with the show ER - watched it from the beginning to end faithfully. I really wish Netflix would get ER! But I digress....

I've been re-watching Greys and just watched the Lexi/Sloan episodes and had ugly cries for them both AGAIN

It hasn't been the same without Derek. And I agree with Traci. Kids don't make the show interesting haha. I am currently rewatching from the beginning (up to season 5) so I don't feel as sad that Derek is gone lol.

Just going to say this. But when will Alex actually be involved in some kind of tragedy/disaster episode. From what I recall that lucky SOB hasn't had anything horrible happen to him (besides Izzy leaving)

He & Jo are the only long-term couple left who haven't split up so I'm sure his time is coming!

I love Alex - he and Cristina were always my favorite characters. He did get shot back when Derek got shot but yeah, other than that and the Izzy thing he's been pretty lucky I keep getting a little niggling thought way in the back of my head that he and Meredith are going to end up together eventually but I know that's probably way off base!

nooo nothing bad can happen to Alex. Him and Jo are like the two broken kids that can build a good life together and I'm rooting for them <3 I love him sooo much he's been my favorite character from day one...even when he was the immature brat
