Has anybody who uses PSP downloaded her new template from her facebook page? It opens for me as a regular raster page with no layers. And I was wondering if it happened to you to. I don't know how to explain it to Traci. It starts out as a psd but opens like a single page. Help please!!! It is an awesome template and would be perfect for Adrienne's tv photos! It works ok for her in photoshop but I don't have that. All my other templates of hers work just fine!

Here is what it looks like it psp

Do you know if there are shadows on the layers? PSP does not like shadows on PSDs

It does have shadows. I just looked. I don't have PSP, though.

yep. if Traci used style to the shadows, PSP doesn't recognize the layers...

I have the same problem, its only opening as a single layer in psp. I dont really know why it would be a shadow problem tho, normally psp opens a photoshop file fine, it just says it cant recognise the shadow layers, but the rest of the layers are there....

I always use dropshadow styles in my templates and the files open fine in PSP. But I have had this happen when I accidentally had a shape layer that turned into a complex or compound shape - not sure exactly what it was called, something with a C, I think. It had a little symbol on the right side of layer in layer palette and apparently PSP doesn't like them. Once I turned it into a normal shape, it worked fine.

I have had many issues in the past with templates like that when they do the shadows in a different way. If they change the shadows someway (no clue how cause I don't know what it is they do in that program). But whenever I say that, the people usually know how to fix it right away.

Yeah you usually can't get too fancy beyond a basic drop shadow style. If you start adding in additional styling, some programs don't like it.

It's the linear burn style that does it. I discovered that while working with a year in review template Penny put out a couple years ago. I went through the template in CS3 and turning off the various layers one by one, saving it & opening it in PSP to see what has an effect.

PSP has a burn style but not the linear burn that PS uses, so it just flattens the whole thing since it can't cope with the style.

I keep my CS3 mostly just so I can fix that problem in templates I buy.
