Default Body Kindness

Ok..so. For the last month or two I've immersed myself in social media, mainly instagram on the idea of Body Positivity and letting go of diets and just loving the body I'm in. (or trying to)

One of the books i've been wanting to read is on sale today for kindle and I thought i'd share in case anyone else is interested in this too.

For me all of this started when I watched the embrace documentary on netflix and found out about body positivity. WOW. There is so much good out there!

https://www.amazon.com/Body-Kindness...4855360&sr=8-2

I have this book coming soon

https://www.amazon.com/Body-Positive...=body+positive
She is bodyposipanda on instagram and I love her.

If anyone else is interested in this stuff and wants to share please do! I follow a lot of girls on instagram and just getting ready to dive into some body positive podcasts that are out there too.

I'm looking forward to watching Embrace. I havent yet, but I read about it when she was in the process of making it awhile back! I think this sort of stuff is super awesome! I dont like the term fat acceptance personally, having lost 140lbs, I know I was in denial about my weight for a really long time, but I LOVE the idea of not hating our bodies and even as far as I've come I still struggle with not being SUPER critical of what I still see as flaws in my body.

You should watch it! I think i've watched it 4 times now.. haha! She talks about moving your body just because of how it makes her feel not to look a certain way. I don't think fat acceptance is an awesome word either, there really has to be a balance.

I'll watch it tonight and let you know what I think! I am a hardcore documentary fan, so I'm in! Anyone else want to have movie night?

Putting this on my Must-Read and Must-Watch list.

Dear Lizzy- Elizabeth Kartchner posted something on her IG about how she changed her focus on why she works out. Not to lose something (ie pounds, inches, etc) but to gain something (ie muscle, energy, positive self image). It resonated with me and it has been on my mind.

Raising 2 girls so this will be valuable info to learn/teach.

TFS!

I'm going to pass this on to my daughter who is learning to love herself (not just her weight) and has been trying to find positive places/reads to help her with her journey.
