Default spinoff: Stocking stuffers for men

Ugh, as if buying the gift isn't hard enough!

Mine and the girls' are usually packed, we're easy. All I've got for him so far is nice new pen and pencil for his uniform and chapstick Kinda stuck on what other little things I can throw in there.

I will get some of his favorite candy, but anyone have any ideas to throw at me?

Matt's really into Star Wars, so I bought fun Star Wars stuff like silly socks, Darth Vader crayons, a Darth Vader pen...
I also bought this book and filled it in for his stocking

I put things like: mini-packs of jerky, drink mixes, batteries, a few treat, shaving balm, batteries, kitchen gadgets, puzzles, small gift cards, movie tickets, mini-bottles of liquor, ear buds, lip balm.

I'm trying to think of what I got for Sean's this year.

Candy
Star Wars Socks
Star Wars Cozie
Star Wars Multi Tool (He loves Star Wars, can you tell? LOL!)
A water proof cases for his phone when he's out fishing
And I'm going to put a Gift Card in there too. I think that's all I got this year, but I've done salami, cheese, chap stick, silly gag gift things, t-shirt.

I always put a can of shaving cream in Chris' - it's big and fills up the whole bottom of the stocking

Jeff's stocking is usually pretty light - his favorite candy & a new toothbrush are always a given. Oh, and hand sanitizer. That's all I've purchased so far. LOL

the Hubster and I have never done stockings for each other... which is sort of weird, but I guess I just never thought about it before. maybe we should start a new tradition this year!

lol, on the shaving cream I totally used to do that, but I started couponing, and got crazy awesome deals on the kind he likes and we're not going to have to buy any for at least a year!

I always do stocking for all of us. I love the fun of it, and getting lots of little neat things/candy. Some good ideas in here, thanks girls. I've been so stumped, I don't want ours overflowing and his all dinky. That what I love about you book looks so cool too, I'm going to check that out!

Another suggestion would be to think about if there is anything he is always loosing or breaks; then buy alot of that item (such as combs for his pocket - my hubby looses combs on a weekly basis it seems). Other suggestion might be a new wallet filled with some gift cards or dollars (use 1 dollar bills so it looks really thick).

I always put an orange in there... that to remember the real santa giving out gold in the form of balls... and I also read a story from a grandma who would put oranges in her kids stockings. When she was a child during the depression, she remember getting one in her stocking and what a treat it was. Now days, it's to remember the little things and take joy in the simple things. I thought it was sweet.

Hubby is super hard to buy for... he has no hobbies you can buy for... so he will get bacon jerky, a little gadget pen thing that I found that has a level built in, a desk calendar for work, smoked almonds, replacement toothbrush heads, and probably a bag of peanut m&m's.

Always: little bottles of liquor, cigars, jerky, his favorite pens, boxers/socks, his favorite candy... Sometimes: tools like screwdriver, measuring tape, flashlight, etc. if he's lost one that year. Kindle or Barnes & Noble gift card, a moleskin journal, toothbrush, card game, wallet, gum, etc.

And, Rebecca, we always do an orange in the toe. My mom always did when I grew up and her mom before her (and so on). It's a tradition.

I think you already have some good ideas here.

I do stockings for everyone, including my in-laws when there are here. Some favorites over the years for my FIL and Hubby have been:
New razor - I use coupons and try to get a nice one from Walgreens or CVS
Tide Pen or Shout Wipes
New socks - fun ones to wear to work Target is great for these!
Stick lighters (Target $ spot usually has them and I buy a few to stock my gift bin when I see them)
Super Glue or Gorilla Glue - this is a joke. My husband had glued his eye lashes shut twice. So he's only allowed to use glue when he has adult supervision. LOL!
I've done coupons for massages in the past.
A gift card for a massage or spa service
Fishing lures
Golf Balls/tees/ ball markers
New toothbrush
Multi-purpose tool
Small after shave or face lotion
Chapstick
Phone charging cords (braided ones that are long and are awesome for the car)
Air freshener for the car
Gum/Candy
SD Cards
Ear buds
New/fun contact case
Gift cards for a hobby (shooting range, driving range, fishing store, Game Stop)
Gloves
Little bags of flavored coffee

It's always little things, sometimes fun or things he uses and needs. Also treats!

I've done:
Bottle of soda
pringles
jerky
fave cereal (usually those small, travel boxes for everyone)
candy
shout wipes/tide pen
gift cards/dollars for work
pens
socks
hair gel
fave body wash
phone charging cable (I'd like to do a portable charger this year)
movie
bath soak stuff for sore muscles
xbox game or accessory

...pretty much anything small that will fit in his stocking lol! We made a mistake with our first marriage and bought super cute stockings. We found out they fill up & stretch so they can hold soooo much. It can be daunting! Our girls stockings are smaller lol

I'm getting some good ideas!

I hate that we are so limited on shopping here We have walmart and the px, that's it. The closest Target and all that good shopping is just over an hour away. I'm not doing that drive just for Christmas shopping, and I'm cutting it close for ordering online!

I don't even know this year. I usually put a DVD or a video game in his stocking. This year I'm skipping both of those. I want to go with small things that he will NEED over the course of a month or so because we are moving soon and I don't want extra stuff to deal with.

so I went ahead and jumped in to do a stocking for my hubster. first one ever and must admit that I'm sort of sad that I didn't think to do this before. it's been loads of fun. thanks so much for the idea, Chickas!

so far I've gotten him :
fleece pj pants
a cd
a mini bottle of Siracha + 2 pairs of Siracha boxers [he looooves that stuff!]
a little model airplane
razor blades for his fancy razor
a pack of his favorite jerky
a tin of salted almonds
a few of his favorite gluten free chocolate bars
and a gift certificate for the shooting range

I really should stop with that... but who knows, I may still add a few more odds and ends.
