Help-how to push a button on fabric

I would like to make a e.g. flower with a brad or button in the middle.
But I can not figure out how to set my shadowing so it looks like it has been
push down in the middle and look more realistics

Does anyone have a tip?

I'll normally use the 'color burn' blend mode with my shadows. That won't make them look "pushed" into the fabric, though. To do that, try an outer bevel on the button & play around with the settings.

You could try a bevel layer style set on Pillow Emboss too...if you are subtle with it and maybe add some shadows too it could work.

I think I'd try to burn the flower around the button.
