I need HELP!! {Installing actions in PSE}

Hi ladies!

I need help installing some actions I bought from Sarah (My 4 Hens). I installed all the actions in my Photo Effects folder and only some of them are showing up.

I bought:
Elements Toolbox (which is showing up)
Falling for Black & White (not showing up in Effects Palette)
Falling for Retro (not showing up in Effects Pallette)

WHAT did I do WRONG?? I re-started PSE (while holding down the shift key) and NOTHING. I double checked that I had them in the folder and yep, they're there. I made sure I had the .atn file and the jpeg/png file and yep, they're there too.

I emailed Sarah, but I know she's probably slammed with stuff since the sale was extended through today @ noon.

Any help would be SOOOO GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

I really, really want to play today! And, I wanted to buy Boy Theory while it's on sale (only until noon), if I can get the others to work.

Umm, I tried, too and didn't get anything to show. I don't know crap about PSE though, I have used it for very little. I decided just to wait until my CS4 arrives and add it to the long list of what to figure out when I get that. I did buy Boy Theory, it was beautiful.

What version of PSE are you using? Have you tried using the tutorials from Hummies World? Installing actions is daunting the first couple of times but it gets easier. Here's the link to the tutorials...

I am terrible at explaining all these things... But I will try! lol!

my Photo Effects folder looks like this:

I went through and just took out the .atn files from all of sarah's action packs because I had trouble in the past...so I took those .atn's and put them in their folders so that they look like this in like Boy Theory for example

Then they all worked fine. I only did that because I have had trouble in the past with actions in PSE. Let me know if that makes no sense...or doesn't work

Just like Crystal, I had to move each individual action out of the folder it came in into my actual actions folder. Hope you get it working soon!

NEVER MIND!!!

I found a tutorial here and had to re-build my database in PSE {it sounds so much more scary than it really is}. I was scared at first, but the plan worked perfectly and now all of my actions are in my Effects Palette!!

After this post I wondered how I could install the actions for the mac. I had downloaded 1 action before but never could figure it out so I gave up on it. However with a little more hunting around I found this website and it really helps if you have a Mac.!
