Ya know for me it isn't even the cleaning that sucks as that with these kiddos home everything is a mess again 5 minutes later. Clean the kitchen from breakfast and it is snack time. Fold the clothes and they decide to change clothes and mess up the whole drawer. Mop the floor, the dog pees because he hears a flippin thunderstorm. Clean the bathroom and they wash their hands after painting and everything is covered in primary colors. If the cleaning would just last for even 1/2 a day . . .

OH man wouldn't that be awesome? I don't mind it tooo much. What drives me crazy is the ONE thing that I manage to get clean will be the FIRST thing the kids trash when they get home from school. Never fails. I like Mimi's idea. Let's just throw away everything but the computers! ROFL

I don't mind cleaning, what I don't like is re-cleaning. I can't stand when I spend 20 mins cleaning the kitchen and then DH and the kids blow through and it's a disaster again! UGH!

BUT... I would take cleaning over laundry ANY DAY!!!

I like you, I really like you

the problem I'm having is . .. that it's so messy around here that it's actually distracting me from my digiscrapping

but I'm going to great lengths to avoid cleaning. right now I'm going to EXERCISE (btw, I've totally given up on Couch to 5k if anyone cares)

Turn your desk toward the corner. Keep your head facing the monitor.

See? No mess!

LMAO, maybe that's my problem. I work from a laptop on the living room couch, so I am right in the middle of the mess!

Dude.. I'd be happy if it would stay clean for 5 minutes. I've given up. I told Jeff the house would be clean when they went to college.

Me too, so at the very least the living room has to be picked up - then I just turn the lights off in all the other rooms

Augh! I know exactly what you mean! I can't stand spending all day cleaning the house and making it presentable for it to stay that way for all of ummm 2 seconds!

This is my feeling exactly! Early in our marriage I felt terrible guilt for my dirty house. I felt guilty cause my DH would occasionally HAVE to do the dishes! Now, 11.5yrs into it, I have no guilt!!! It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep a house clean with 4 mids running around! So I agree! Stupid and pointless!

You're my new best friend!

I know people who like cleaning... I mean really like it. It borders on creepy. No risk of that ever being me! I just wish I could keep my house in a state where I didn't have to panic clean any time someone's coming over... and maybe where I could find things a little easier too. There's just about a million things I'd rather be doing than cleaning, y'know? And I pretty much always choose them, lol.

I just don't get it... I switch over the laundry, vacuum the rugs and mop the floors, scrub the bathroom and dust the livingroom... and then in 3 months I have to do it all over again.

Lauren is weird, she cleans constantly. The other day we were talking and after a long pause she said "sorry I had to clean my drains" - I was like WTH? who leaves mid-convo to clean drains of all things

That's something I would do.

I would, but I don't.

I'm a total neat freak trapped in a lazy person's body. It's my own personal hell I tell ya!

As my husband puts it, I want it clean, I just don't want to do it.

I hate cleaning, but I even hate more having a dirty house, so I have a cleaning lady! LOL I'm sooooo happy to be able to afford this luxury! I still have to work on maintaining the house and decluttering/keeping the mess under control (cause she has to see the floor to clean it!), but I don't think I have touched the mop in 6 months!!!
