Default Apple Pencil?

First generation, anyone have one? Do you recommend it?

Keira got an iPad this summer and she mentioned wanting a stylus for drawing. I don't draw, so I have no idea if I should pay the $100 for Apple or get something cheaper/generic.

I have an ipad pro 11 and a 2nd gen pencil, so not 100% if it's going to help, but what I have is magic! Feels unlike anything I've EVER experienced in terms of a stylus / tablet. It's just like writing or drawing on paper. 100% worth every penny in my experience.

LOL! She doesn't have a pro, but she was gifted one from the summer camp she attends for cancer survivors this summer since they couldn't go in person. I can't remember if hers is the 6th or 7th generation. But that's good to know. I'm sure they work similarly.

I know she's been drawing on it pretty much exclusively since she got it.

My mom has one and she loves it. Since her stroke 2 years ago she is practicing her hand with the Apple Pencil, and she really enjoys it

Annika got an iPad and Apple pencil a couple of months ago specifically for drawing. She tried a couple of other pens that friends had before settling on the one she wanted. She absolutely loves her Apple pencil and highly recommends it.

Thanks Sheana. I'm putting it on her Christmas list.
