Default I need some $20 Gift Swap ideas please!

I am the oldest of 5 kids. So instead of us all buying each other and the spouses gifts we do what we call a Yankee Gift Swap each year. It's the old draw a number pick a present or steal a present game.

I need a good idea for a $20 - $25 gift that 30-40 something year old adults would like and really want to fight for (because that is definitely the fun part). I already got a two pack of nice king sized pillows for one of our gifts (which I will fight for myself!). I need some other ideas.

What about a gift card for Starbucks, iTunes, Chipotle, or Amazon? Or maybe a travel mug with the Starbucks card.

Or maybe a bottle of wine? Not sure how much it is there...

For our swap this year I got a Project Life core kit with some page protectors. I'm going to convince everyone to scrapbook. LOL

Some that have been big fights over through the years have been bakeware (muffin tins, loaf pans, etc), local gifts (one year I did a basket of local spaghetti sauce and homemade pasta) and anything alcohol or beer related. I did a Heinekin mini keg one year and that thing was rolled all over the place.

Have fun!

We used to do a secret santa game with a group of friends every christmas. Once the hot item was a self-loading screwdriver (they are about $20 I just got one at Sears for my dad: LIKE THIS). The guys loved that! Another year it was a travel coffee mug with a starbucks giftcard, walkie talkies, swiss army knife.... that's all I can remember. I know Gift Cards are fought over but not as exciting as a 'real' gift. I would love something like a nice solid wood butcher block, a nice collection of flavored coffees (Boca Java has a nice holiday collection), a scentsy plug in warmer with a holiday scented wax, Harry & David pears and Moose Munch... the list goes on.

This year I got DH a Zoku slush maker. It would make a really fun & different secret santa gift. They are $20 at Williams-Sonoma.

You ladies have some awesome ideas! Keep them coming!! Gift cards are always a big hit.

We used to this with DH's family. Everyone over 18 participated. OMG - there would be 25 people trying to swap and steal. It was so much fun! There were groups of people strategizing how to steal things and swap at the end. LOL I did a Pasta serving bowl with 4 matching bowls from Pottery Barn one year and that was one everyone wanted to steal. Stemless wine glasses were also a big hit.

We just did a $20 limit with Sean's extended family, I think 26 of us played.

Booze was stolen the most. Like a local microbrew and glasses, wine & nice chocolates, someone brought tequila rose. They also marked you needed to be 21 to pick that gift on the box.

The only other gift that was really stolen was a scarf and something that smelled nice. I agree, gift cards are good. We did a $10 swap at my Mom's group today and the Starbucks and local ice cream place GC's were stolen a few times.

One year when we did it, I got a crystal wine stopper and that was stolen a ton. Big hits for the men are often small tools, too.
