Default Trader Joe's

Tampa has finally gotten with the times and has a Trader Joe's. We went crazy there last month and we're planning our assault on it again today. We shamefully went through our container of Cookie Butter more quickly than I'll ever admit, so we wont be buying that again for awhile. lol

Our favorite things to buy at TJ's are: ghee, nuts, and cheeses (best blue cheese on the planet). I've heard their hummus is great, so we might try that today. I also love their soaps.

What are your favorite things from TJ's?

Goddess dressing and my son loves their carrot pouches (like the go go squeezes, but with carrots and apples). We don't have a local one, the nearest is 250 miles away. So we stock up on those two things when we go.

I love their hummus! I love the Spanish Olive Oil for dressings, it's my favorite. Seaweed crisps (not the wasabi ones though...those hurt). DH is Canadian so he's loving that they have poutine now. Cocoa batons (super cheap..but addictive).

I miss TJ's something fierce. We used to live a mile from one, now we're 2.5 hours to the closest one. We stock up when we're close to one.

Um. EVERYTHING. I try to do the majority of our shopping there.

They have a Chicken Parmesan dinner in the refrigerated section (it's near the hummus at our TJ's). It's Delicious! I will often get that for dinner so I don't have to cook the night I go shopping. LOL!

Some other favorites, off the top of my head:

Mandarin chicken (in the frozen section).
Yogurt stars cookies
Coconut cashews
Tomato and red pepper soup
Pretzel rolls

Their frozen Mac and cheese is ridiculous. I always claimed to be getting it for the kids, but then ate it pretty much all by myself every time. I can't wait until we're back in Texas and I can go again!,

Ben and Jerry's makes this ice cream called Chubby Hubby with those PB filled pretzels in it.

I'm putting a few of these things on my list for sure. Wes is now excited about the Seaweed Crisps.

I love their fresh pizza dough, sauce and pepperoni for homemade pizzas. I also like to buy canned coconut milk, their organic vanilla yogurt and almond milk there. They also have really soups that come in a box -- I buy them for my son who has a feeding tube; they're an easy solution for feeding him when we're on the go or not able to blend his normal food.

I have never been to one, but there is one opening up in Winter Park here in June or July I think and I can not wait! <3

I admit we have a TJ's just down the street and I don't totally get the level of hype it receives but I do swear by the TJ Nourish All-In-One face soap. It's one of the few that works for me without drying out my sensitive skin.

I mostly don't get the hype either.

But, we do ADORE the yellow curry simmer sauce. Heat it up, add some shrimp and serve over rice. Easy and delish.

I saw the Just Mango, but didn't pick it up. I'll put it on the list for next time.

This month we're trying the Seaweed crips - and by we, I mean Wes for those things. We also picked up the Goddess dressing (I can't resist tahini), coconut cashews, nacho kale chips and a plain and a spicy hummus. Those are all the new things we're trying this month.

We love, love, love the mac n cheese but that is on the limited list along with the cookie butter because we have no self control.

Wes also likes the beer there and might try one of the wines if we're having a party or something since I don't drink and he wont drink a bottle of wine by himself.

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! Keep them coming.

i love trader joes.... we have to drive to Milwaukee to get to one - it has been the most requested business to open in our area for like the last 10 years, so far TJ hasn't moved north.

I love their marinated chicken... such a quick supper... we are gluten free, so it does limit a lot of what I can get there... but I love the flaked roasted coconut, the coconut spray, all things coconut... things I can't buy here...

It's a top request for here, too, but so far they say they won't move closer than Minneapolis. Boo.
