A Desert Southwest Kit?
I would love it if someone would consider designing a desert southwestern kit. Something with a sophisticated (not cute) color palette that would fit photos from Arizona and New Mexico. You know, mountains and desert flowers (lots of possibilities here) and saguaro and prickly pear cactus and suns and sunsets and canyons and feathers and dream catchers and pottery and beads and sage and coyotes and mesas and rattlesnakes and butterflies and I could go on and on with other ideas.

Eva, those are two kits of yours I don't have yet and I am definitely going to wish list them. I'd still love it if someone would design a Southwestern kit though. I've looked in a lot of digital scrapbooking stores and there's a serious lack of Southwestern themed kits. (Lots of tropical kits, but no Southwestern.)

I have had a desire to make a southwestern kit for a while. I was actually born in Albuquerque -- and grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I left Santa Fe when I went to college -- then I joined the Navy -- so now I only get to visit once in a while. I live in Virginia Beach, VA now -- so I am a long way from home. I have tons of photos of exactly what you are speaking of, and of course my memories will always be there.
If I do one I know there will be an adobe brown and a turquoise color. The skies in NM are so blue they are almost turquoise. I will have to work on getting a good color scheme. It won't be for a few weeks before I can start it though. I have finished my kit for this week -- and have started on the one for next week -- and then the following week we are going on vacation. So... I am thinking maybe mid to late September. Would that work for you? If you wanna PM me some of your favorite photos I can make sure the color scheme I use will compliment them. I la la love New Mexico and I often miss it. I especially miss the Mexican food!

I am SO HAPPY that Eva will be creating this kit!!!
 And yes, you are absolutely right about the turquoise color of the sky! Adobe brown is perfect too! I'll send some of my southwest photos soon!

Eva ... I have some ideas and will get them to you ... my mom moved to Arizona ... and we stayed in Santa Fe on the way down there ... thanks for taking this on ... it will get me energized to get those photos scrapped!!! Thank you!

Just wanted y'all to know that the Southwestern Kit is being released tomorrow. I enlisted the help of Misty and Meghan... so now it is a collaborative kit (and is HUGE). There is a little sneaky peek in the Sneak Peek thread if you wanna check it out.
I really enjoyed seeing all of the photos that some of you sent me. They made me homesick for Santa Fe. I hope y'all like the kit... it is versatile enough to be used for non-themed layouts, too. The colors are beautiful (at least I think so). Eva
